The Morning Show is quickly booking up for season four.

The Apple TV+ media drama starring Jennifer Aniston and Reese Witherspoon has added another star to its cast with Boyd Holbrook, who will be joining for season four. Holbrook will play Brodie, a popular and provocative podcaster and talk show host.

The Narcos and Justified: City Primeval star recently starred on the big screen in Jeff Nichols’ The Bikeriders and will next be seen in James Mangold’s upcoming Bob Dylan biopic, A Complete Unknown (reteaming with Mangold again after Indiana Jones and The Dial of Destiny). He is currently filming season two of Netflix’s The Sandman, reprising his role as The Corinthian.

Some of his other recent credits include Shane Black’s Predator remake, Mangold’s Logan, HBO’s Behind the Candelabra and History’s Hatfields & McCoys.

Holbrook is the latest to join The Morning Show, following William Jackson Harper, who will play Ben, the self-assured and innovative Head of Sports at the show’s fictional TV network; Marion Cotillard, as savvy operator Celine Dumont; and Jeremy Irons as Martin Levy, the father to Aniston’s Alex Levy.

Genius: MLK/X star Aaron Pierre, Rachel Marsh (Unstable) and John Hoogenakker (Dopesick, Tom Clancy’s Jack Ryan) have also been cast in recurring roles.

The show’s returning ensemble includes Billy Crudup, Mark Duplass, Nestor Carbonell, Karen Pittman, Greta Lee, Jon Hamm and Nicole Beharie. (Julianna Margulies won’t be returning for season four.)

The Morning Show explores the cutthroat world of morning news and the lives of the people who help America wake up in the morning, and ended on another big cliffhanger with its third season. That season — spoiler alert! — ended with an eleventh-hour coup from Alex Bradley (Aniston), as she outsmarted her love interest Paul Marks (Hamm) and will attempt to steer their fictional network and fictional morning show into a post-merger era. Bradley Jackson (Witherspoon), meanwhile, turned herself into the FBI in the finale and is facing a possible felony charge. Showrunner Charlotte Stoudt and the cast recently told The Hollywood Reporter that the series will jump ahead two years when it picks up with season four, catching up to 2024.

Developed by Kerry Ehrin, The Morning Show is executive produced by Aniston and Kristin Hahn through Echo Films; Witherspoon and Lauren Neustadter through Hello Sunshine, a Candle Media company. The series is directed and executive produced by Mimi Leder, who executive produces and directs under a multi-year overall deal with Apple TV+, and is executive produced by Michael Ellenberg and produced by studio Media Res. Stoudt has a multi-year overall deal with Apple TV+ for scripted television series.

Holbrook is repped by WME, Range Media Partners, imPRint.
