Brazilian Gamers Infuriated by Sudden PS5 Price Hikes

How high can they go?

Image: Push SquareSony has suddenly bumped the price of a bunch of titles on the Brazilian PS Store, leaving local players infuriated.

While the move affects both first-party and third-party titles, it’s retroactive, affecting even launch titles like Demon’s Souls.

The manufacturer cited “challenging market conditions, including fluctuating exchange rates” as the reason for the change.

In the case of new release Death Stranding 2: On the Beach, the price jumped from R$349.90 (~$63.80) to R$399.90 (~$72.98) just a few days after launching.
