Brock Lesnar tells incredible story of what happened when he met Muhammad Ali… ‘I felt something powerful’

Brock Lesnar has given an incredible insight into his ‘powerful’ experience of meeting the legendary Muhammad Ali.

The pair of heavyweight icons have established their places as two of the biggest names in combat sports history.

Blessed with ferocious strength and top-level wrestling, the American is renowned for destroying his opponents, whether it’s in the ring or cage.

But long before Lesnar ever set foot in a gym, Muhammad Ali had already carved out a legacy that no professional fighter is ever likely to transcend.

Renowned for his incredible movement, and amusing trash talk, the boxing star changed the game, paving the way for charismatic operators to entertain on the mic.

But according to Lesnar, behind the bravado stood a gracious character, who gave him a handshake he’ll never forget.

In an interview with ESPN, he reminisced: “I got to meet [Muhammad] Ali one time. All I remember when I met and shook the man’s hand was, he never talked, at that point the illness had taken over, but I just remember when he extended his hand, he didn’t have to say anything to me.

“It was not a weird vibe; it was such a gracious handshake. I can’t even put a word to it. I felt something powerful from the man. He never spoke a word to me, but I felt presence and power from him.

“One of the greatest. Here’s a guy who’s selling tickets, talking the talk and getting in the ring and walking the walk. It’s big business.”

Growing up, Mike Tyson looked up to the sporting legend, even using him as his inspiration to beat Larry Holmes.

Therefore, when Floyd Mayweather insisted he was greater than Ali, ‘Iron Mike’ wasn’t very impressed.

The New Yorker went on a massive rant, slamming the four-weight champion, explaining why he thinks ‘Money’ will never be as good as his hero.
