After a nondescript showing in his first scrimmage at the NBA Draft Combine on Tuesday, Bronny James managed to bounce back in his second chance on Wednesday.

James looked more comfortable on the floor on his way to finishing with a team-high 13 points in 23 minutes for Team St. Andrews in a 90-83 win against Team Love. The youngster performed well with his legendary father, Los Angeles Lakers star LeBron James, in attendance along with Lakers general manager Rob Pelinka.

James played off the ball more frequently on Wednesday, allowing him to get more catch-and-shoot opportunities. While he had some areas to improve like his turnovers and shooting efficiency (4-of-10), he showed confidence in attacking the rim and fighting through contact.

James’ improvement came after he was limited to four points and four rebounds in Tuesday’s scrimmage.

Fans on social media had good things to say about the 19-year-old during Wednesday’s contest:

🏁 Jamal Crawford @JCrossoverI love how Bronny plays the game.

Brett Siegel @BrettSiegelNBAIn 23 minutes, Bronny James had 13 points on 4-of-10 shooting in today’s scrimmage.

Definitely a stronger and more comfortable performance by James in Day 2’s scrimmage.

Seth Davis @SethDavisHoopsBronny has struggled again today but he finally just knocked down a corner three. I have always loved his demeanor. Never gets too up or too down no matter how he’s playing. He has a lot to be proud of for how he conducted himself out here.

Tay Keith @DonDunItAlllBronny hoopin today now that they moved him off ball

AJ Barringer @AJBarringerLove the fact that Bronny is mentally ready to be a role player out the gate.

Most one and done players his age aren’t willing to accept that.

Which is exactly why Bronny will stick around and have a long career.

LAKER LINQ 🔗 @lakerlinqBronny has looked much better in today’s NBA Combine scrimmage, playing very comfortably off the ball. 1st half recap:

There’s still time for James to decide whether he wants to stay in the draft or return to college, as the deadline is May 29.

Whatever he decides, James surely is having a beneficial experience at the combine as he tries to gauge his skills against other prospects.
