Browns trade wide receiver to Chiefs in latest NFL mock trade
The Cleveland Browns traded star receiver Amari Cooper to the Buffalo Bills earlier this week. Cleveland is 1-5 and going against a Cincinnati Bengals team that they haven’t lost to at home since 2017. Should they fall to 1-6, it’s very possible they become even bigger sellers ahead of the trade deadline. And according to The 33rd Team, that could mean trading another receiver.
In a mock trade, the Browns send receiver Elijah Moore to the Kansas City Chiefs in exchange for a 2025 fifth-round pick. Moore has 16 catches for 95 yards this season. He’s coming off a 2023 season that was far more impressive, hauling in 59 catches for 640 yards and two scores in his first season with the Browns. He has 155 catches for 1,719 yards and eight touchdowns in 50 games.
This would greatly benefit the two-time defending Super Bowl champions, considering they are once again incredibly thin at wide receiver, as Rashee Rice and Hollywood Brown have both been lost for the season.Â
This would leave the Browns with Jerry Jeudy, Cedrick Tillman, and rookie Jamari Thrash as the primary receivers, but a 1-6 start would warrant selling the farm and planning for next season.
