Bucs QB Baker Mayfield has shocking rank in an NFL player’s top 100 ballot
Tampa Bay Buccaneers quarterback Baker Mayfield enjoyed a career resurgence of sorts last year.
But one wouldn’t necessarily expect him to appear within the top 20 overall players in leaguewide rankings, either.Â
But apparently that line of thinking might be misguided. NFL Films just teased this year’s Top 100 players program by showing four of the ballots filled out by players that help assemble the list.Â
On one of the ballots, a player filled in Mayfield’s name at 20th overall.Â
And hey, Mayfield quietly completed 64.3 percent of his passes last year with 4,044 yards and 28 touchdowns against 10 interceptions before throwing a trio of scores in a playoff win.Â
Still, Mayfield feels like a “one of these is not like the others” on a list measuring every player at every position in the league. There are seven quarterbacks in front of him in the player’s submission too.Â
Of course, this is just one player’s ballot, but it certainly drives up intrigue to see the show and how Mayfield’s fellow players really feel about him as a whole right now.
