C5 S3 FNCS Guide – Schedule, Big Prizes and More

What’s going on with the C5 S3 FNCS? This is everything to know about Major 3 of the Fortnite FNCS 2024.

The FNCS is the World Cup of Fortnite, the top event for anyone jumping into the Battle Royale. Each season we see the greatest players and the biggest chancers hop into the Battle Bus together.

Over the course of multiple weeks, we narrow each region down to the 100 very best, with a multi-million-dollar prize pool at stake. The C5 S3 FNCS might be particularly interesting though.

This is a Fortnite season that has had some of the weirdest gameplay. While most of these aren’t in tournaments, there are some key mechanics that stand to break players out of their standard builds gameplay.  How will this change the FNCS Major 3 results?

The players who make it all the way to the final have a shot at a huge prize. But also the opportunity to enshrine themselves in history as one of a few Fortnite winners for this highest level of competitive play.

When are all of the FNCS events this season? How can you get involved and are there any incentives like free Fortnite items on offer for players throughout the festivities for the Fortnite FNCS 2024?

Who Can Enter the Fortnite C5 S3 FNCS?

To get into the FNCS’s open rounds, there’s only one requirement. You need to be in Rank Platinum 1 or higher in Battle Royale.

This isn’t the highest part of the Fortnite Ranks, so you don’t even need to grind that much to get up there. After this first session, it gets tougher though.

For the second round only the top 2,000 teams get through for Europe and NA. 1,000 for other regions. For Round 3, it’s the top 1,000 teams and 250 for other regions. Europe and NA even have a fourth round, to narrow things down to just the top 250 for the Semis.

By the time we reach the FNCS C5 S3 finals on July 23rd, we’ll have found the 100 best players of this season.

FNCS Major 3 Schedule
When will the events take place for those who want to enter? Or watch along at home to grab the drops? There are a few key dates to watch for.

Open Qualifiers – June 14-June 23
Semis – July 19-21
Grand Finals – July 27-28

Since the launch of Chapter 5, the FNCS events have been a bit more spread out. A by-week to give players a rest has been brought in. However, most of the action is still spread over just a few weekends. The rest of the C5 S3 FNCS will only take a couple more weeks to finish up!

Format

The FNCS begins with an open round, where pretty much everyone who wants to get involved can jump in. However, this is just the first round. There are loads of hopefuls including plenty who have never racked up earnings before.

Only the best will move through to future rounds though, it’s narrowed down a little bit though. There’s a bye-week for recovery, followed by the Semi-Finals. This is divided into an upper and lower round. Each time, more players get seeded through to the FNCS Major 3 finals.

This is the last shot at the Grand Royale for those in the Fortnite FNCS 2024. Once we reach that climax, it all happens over a single weekend.

Players compete in a series of matches to decide their placement, but it’s one lobby of 100 players that will be in the finals to find the FNCS C5 S3 winner.

C5 S3 FNCS Semi-Finals
In the Semi-Finals, players are divided in two. The top 1-50 placing players compete in a five-match set. The Victory Royale winners of each game go straight to the finals. The other top 25 moves to the Upper Semis second round. While the lower-ranking half moves to the lower Semis. In these Lower Semis they face lower ranking Duos, with again only the top placing names heading onwards.

The lowest have more rounds to get through, but eventually, we’ll be left with the 100 best Fortnite players for Chapter 5 Season 3.

C5 S3 FNCS Prizes
It’s a long way through to the finals. Once there, what are teams actually fighting for? There’s the Champion’s Brella and other prestige that only comes from being a Champion of a Fortnite season. In terms of cash though, there’s $2,001,200 at stake here.

The biggest prize pools tend to go to the two biggest regions. That’s NA Central and Europe. Regions for tournaments are the same as for Fortnite servers, most of the top players are in these regions.

Past that though, there’s the grand Royale to think of now. Next season doesn’t have an FNCS, it has an international LAN. The only players attending are those who place highly at these FNCS Finals. It’s not just cash at stake over the Grand final weekend, but a shot at winning an entire Chapter of Fortnite competitive.

Just like with the cash, the spots are going more heavily to NA Central and Europe. However, the other regions are getting a shot at things too. Players in all regions have a chance at qualifying, just only the very to placing players in smaller regions head onwards.

Where to Watch the Fortnite FNCS 2024?

If you haven’t already made it through to the Semis, you can still follow the action along. You can catch the official stream of the tournament just about anywhere for FNCS Major 3.

There’s the official map, Legend’s Landing. You can watch the tournament in-game there. There’s also a stream on Twitch, YouTube, social media, and even multiple languages to watch the C5 S3 FNCS in.

Legend’s Landing tends to be the spot to go if you’re interested in drops. Since you’re already logged into your Fortnite account it’s pretty easy to secure your rewards here. The only streams have their benefits too though. Just go for whichever you prefer.

Fortnite tournaments are some of the easiest to watch. You should be able to get yourself all of the drops on offer and catch the highlight of Fortnite esports for this season.
