Caitlin Clark live stats: Fever vs. Sun score, updates, highlights from 2024 WNBA debut

The moment everyone’s been waiting for has arrive – Caitlin Clark is about to make her official WNBA debut.

The Fever take on the Sun in their first game of the 2024 season. It will be a tough challenge for the young Indiana team, as Connecticut is consistently one of the best in the league. Nevertheless, it gets Clark and her fellow rookies Leilani Correa and Celeste Taylor off to a running start.

Indiana split its two preseason games, losing to Dallas 79-76 before beating Atlanta 83-80. Clark had a team-high 21 points in her first game and followed it up with 12 points and eight rebounds. While shooting less efficiently, she had a complete game on the floor, something needed for her first year as a pro.

The Sun, on the other hand, played just one preseason game, losing to the Liberty 82-79. Rachel Banham, who began her career in Connecticut before going to Minnesota for four seasons, came off the bench for 20 points.

Clark and the Fever will be thoroughly tested in their debut against the Sun, but regardless of the outcome, it’s the start of a new era.
