Caitlin Clark talks WNBA, roasts Michael Che on ‘SNL’
The 2024 WNBA Draft is Monday night, and ahead of the event Caitlin Clark, the expected firfst-overall pick, made a stop to promote the draft.
By visiting the “Weekend Update” desk on Saturday Night Live.
Clark joined hosts Michael Che and Colin Jost during the segment, right after Che told a joke about Iowa retiring Clark’s jersey following the end of her collegiate career. Clark noted that Che has a history of telling jokes at the expense of the WNBA and women’s basketball, and while Che denied telling those jokes, his co-host was ready with a supercut of those moments from SNL.
Clark then told Che she had written a series of jokes for him to read, all of which poked fun at the host’s expense.

Clark also paid tribute to some of the WNBA’s legends for blazing the trail in front of her, before gifting Che a signed apron.
