Capcom Sets Up Resident Evil Requiem Story Ahead Of February 2026 Xbox Launch

Earlier this summer, we got the surprise reveal of Capcom’s next RE epic in Resident Evil Requiem – and now the team has detailed a bit more of the game’s story ahead of its February 2026 Xbox launch.

As part of the team’s new Gamescom 2025 trailer, Capcom has showcased more of RE: Requiem’s story campaign, including some additional setup on the game’s main protagonist; Grace Ashcroft. There’s also a hint at RE9 gameplay here, with a full reveal on that to come shortly.

“Prepare to escape death in a heart-stopping experience that will chill you to your core.

Technological advancements combined with the development team’s depth of experience combine in a story with rich characters and gameplay that’s more immersive than ever before.”

That full gameplay reveal should indeed come pretty soon. Capcom has already penned this one in, locked and loaded, for February 27th, 2026 on Xbox Series X|S – so we’re just a few months away from the next mainline Resident Evil game on the platform.
