The Cavaliers and Magic are set to clash in a No. 4 vs. No. 5 matchup in the first round of the 2024 NBA Playoffs.

Both teams struggled to close the regular season, losing four of their last six games. Cleveland and Orlando haven’t met since Feb. 22, when the Magic handed the Cavaliers a 116-109 loss. However, it should be noted that All-Star guard Donovan Mitchell wasn’t available for that game.

This series could be a low-scoring affair, as Cleveland and Orlando are top-10 teams in terms of defensive rating. The Magic in particular have been a lockdown unit since the All-Star break, leading the league in defensive rating during that stretch.
