Celebrities Dressed to the Nines—And 10s—for Madonna’s Celebration Tour
Last year, the overlapping Beyoncé and Taylor Swift tours sent concert-goers into a method dressing spiral (because no, it’s not just for celebrities). Fans flocked to stadiums decked out in head-to-toe silver, and arms stacked with friendship bracelets. But there’s another superstar who knows how to get her crowd dressed to the nines: Madonna.
The pop-star’s Celebration tour brought out a host of famous fans, particularly on her New York and Los Angeles stops. And in some cases, like Julia Garner and Alexa Demie—both of whom partook in the allegedly grueling Madonna biopic casting process—they took the stage alongside her. Both Material Girl contenders opted for sheer black looks for the voguing portion of the night. Garner, who played guest judge in New York, wore a Madgesque black lace blouse over a black bra, while Demie opted for a vintage Jean Paul Gaultier Maribou minidress from Aralda Vintage, towering Vivienne Westwood platforms, and a Tom Ford-era Gucci cross necklace.
Olivia Wilde also nodded to Madonna. The actor channeled the ’80s in her all-black ensemble, wearing a black bralette and a black headband. Meanwhile, supermodel Alessandra Ambrosio made a cheeky reference to Madge’s iconic Jean Paul Gaultier looks by wearing a trompe l’oeil T-shirt printed with a lingerie-clad body.
The men also stepped up to the (fashion) plate. Lenny Kravitz broke out a pair of metallic rose gold pants and bug-eyed sunglasses, while Jon Batiste donned a slick red leather suit.
