Celebrities Honor the Homes Lost in the L.A. Fires

The Los Angeles wildfires have destroyed countless homes since they began on Tuesday, January 7. Since then, 200,000 residents have evacuated their homes in L.A. County, with over 17,000 acres burned in the Palisades fire and 13,690 acres in the Eaton fire in the Pasadena area. Jeff Bridges, Bella Hadid, Anthony Hopkins, and Paris Hilton are all among those who have all lost their homes in the Palisades fire. Below, the celebrities who have lost their homes among the 10,000 buildings destroyed in the fires.

Actor Jeff Bridges’s Malibu family home burned down, CBS News confirmed on January 10.

Model Bella Hadid shared a photo of her childhood home, pointing out the room she grew up in engulfed in flames.

This Is Us star Milo Ventimiglia told CBS News his home had perished on January 10. “You start thinking about all the memories in different parts of the house and what not,” he said. “And then you see your neighbors’ houses and everything kind of around, and your heart just breaks.”

Actor Anthony Hopkins’s home burned down, People confirmed on January 10. The same day, Hopkins posted a message of support for those impacted. “As we struggle to heal from the devastation of these fires, it’s important we remember that the only thing we take with us is the love we give,” he wrote.

Cobie Smullet and Taran Killam’s home in Pacific Palisades burned down, People confirmed via photos.

Keleigh Teller, married to actor Miles Teller, shared a photo of their home on January 9, confirming that it had burned down. “To everyone reaching out I can’t thank you enough, your kind hearts have meant the world, I’ll never forget them,” she wrote. “Community has come out stronger than I could imagine, pacific palisades I love you beyond measure you are a little slice of heaven, we will come back stronger than ever.”

John Goodman’s home was destroyed in the fires, People reported on January 9.

The current honorary mayor of Pacific Palisades, Eugene Levy, lost his home, People confirmed.

Actress Anna Farris’s representatives told People that her house burned down, though her family is safe. “

“Praying for everyone this morning,” she wrote on Instagram on January 9. “Those who lost their home. those who lost their life’s work, those who lost their life.”

Singer Empress Of posted on Instagram Stories on January 9 that she lost her home in the Eaton fire in Pasadena, writing: “My family home is gone. I’m devastated. Thankful for our safety.”

Pratt shared a photo of their home in ashes on January 9. “The one positive sign i saw as our house burned down was ours sons bed burned in the shape of a heart,” he wrote.

While most of singer and actress Mandy Moore’s house is still standing, she shared a photo of the remains of her garage and studio. “We lost Taylor and griffin’s studio with every instrument and piece of equipment they’ve ever owned,” she said. “We lost our garage and back house. Everyone we know lost everything. Every house on our street is gone.”

Adam Brody and Leighton Meester’s house burned down, TMZ confirmed on January 8, along with footage of the fires.

“This loss is immeasurable. It’s the spot where we got married 3 years ago,” she wrote on January 9. “I grieve along with all of those suffering during this apocalyptic event.”

“Sadly we did lose our home but we are grateful to have survived this truly devastating fire,” the Princess Bride actor wrote. “Our hearts go out to all the families impacted by this tragic event and we also wish to extend our gratitude to all the firefighters, first responders and law enforcement who worked so tirelessly through the night and are still at it.”

Cameron Mathison of All My Children and General Hospital posted a video of “what’s left of our beautiful home.” “Our home where our kids were raised and where they wanted to raise their own someday,” he continued.

“Sitting with my family, watching the news, and seeing our home in Malibu burn to the ground on live TV is something no one should ever have to experience,” Hilton wrote. “This home was where we built so many precious memories.”

Tina Knowles, best known as Beyoncé’s mother, lost her Malibu bungalow. “I am praying diligently for our beautiful City of Los Angeles !! We are resilient though and we will recover!” she said on January 9. ‘“This too shall pass.’”

“I’ve had this house for almost 30 years,” the songwriter shared. “It looks like it was lost in the fire last nite,” she wrote.

Actress Kate Beckinsale’s home burned down on January 8. “My daughter and I lived there for most of her childhood and most of her childhood is gone,” she wrote. “Her primary school, every shop or restaurant we used to go to with my parents and Michael’s parents – and devastatingly, most of her friends homes.”

“Yesterday morning I had a beautiful Spanish cottage that gave me endless joy, where I met my husband and raised my son, the only house I’ve ever owned, with fruit trees I grew, with a garden of native plants,” Denise Crosby (Star Trek: Next Generation) said on X, along side a photo of her home.

“Janice and I lived in our home since 1979,” he wrote in a statement to AP News. “We raised our children and grandchildren here. Every inch of our house was filled with love. Beautiful memories that can’t be taken away. We are heartbroken of course but with the love of our children and friends we will get through this.”
