Hollywood is mourning the loss of some of its finest stars.

Jon Landau

The Oscar-winning âTitanicâ and âAvatarâ producer Jon Landau died at age 63 in July.
A cause of death was not released at the time.
âJon was a visionary whose extraordinary talent and passion brought some of the most unforgettable stories to life on the big screen. His remarkable contributions to the film industry have left an indelible mark, and he will be profoundly missed,â Alan Bergman, Disney Entertainment co-chairman, said in a statement.
Bergman added, âHe was an iconic and successful producer yet an even better person and a true force of nature who inspired all around him.â
Dawn Hollyoak

Dawn Hollyoakâs death was announced via Instagram on July 5. She was 61.
âItâs with a heavy heart we announce the passing of our star đ baker Dawn,â a statement on the former âGreat British Bake Offâ contestantâs profile read.
âNot only a wonderfully talented baker but first and foremost an amazing mother, grandmother, wife and friend. Dawn passed away peacefully surrounded by her family.â
A cause of death was not immediately revealed.
Mike Heslin

Mike Heslin died on July 2 after going into cardiac arrest, his husband, Scotty Dynamo, announced via Instagram. The âSpecial Ops: Lionessâ actor was 30.
âMichael was young, in perfect health, and the doctors have no explanation for what happened,â Dynamo added in his statement.
Keke Jabbar

Keke Jabbar, who rose to fame as a star in OWNâs âLove & Marriage: Hunstville,â has died. The reality tv star was 42.
Blogger Marcella Speaks first reported the news on a YouTube Livestream on July 2 with a statement from Jabbarâs family who said she died âpeacefully at home surrounded by love.â
Jabbarâs co-star and cousin, LaTisha Scott, also commented on the loss telling her followers, âAt this time we are asking for respect, and privacy in our moment of grief, while we process this great loss!â
âThis is hard for our Family!!!!!â Scott said.
Andrew Jury

Andrew Jury, who starred in New Zealandâs first season of âMarried at First Sight,â was found dead in jail on June 27.
Juryâs father told the New Zealand Herald that his son was âstrugglingâ with his mental health while on remand at Mt Eden Corrections Facility in Auckland, New Zealand.
Jury was scheduled for a hearing just hours before his death on charges of assault with intent to injure, wilful damage and possession of an offensive weapon.
Officers told the Herald there was no âsuspiciousâ activity surrounding his death.
Martin Mull

Martin Mull, who was best known for his work on âRoseanneâ died on June 27, following a long illness. The actor was 80 when he passed away at his home, his rep, Jennifer Craig, told TMZ.
The longtime actor played Leon Carp in 46 episodes of âRoseanne.â He was also a series regular on âSabrina the Teenage Witch,â and had a recurring role on âTwo and a Half Men.â
On the big screen, he is best known for playing Colonel Mustard in 1985âs âClue.â He also had roles in âJingle All The Wayâ with Arnold Schwarzenegger and âMr. Mom.â
Bill Cobbs
Bill Cobbs died at age 90 in June 2024.
Veteran actor Bill Cobbs died at age 90 on June 25, 2024 at his home in Riverside, Calif.
His publicist confirmed the news at the time, though they did not release a cause of death.
Cobbs had roles in hits like âThe Bodyguard,â âThe Hitter,â âNight at the Museumâ and many more. He also appeared in episodes of TV shows including âThe Sopranosâ and âWalker, Texas Ranger.â
Shifty Shellshock

Crazy Townâs Shifty Shellshock passed away on June 24, the Los Angeles Medical Examiner announced. A cause of death wasnât immediately given, though the âButterflyâ crooner, whose real name was Seth Binzer, struggled with substance abuse.
Just two months ago, the performer posted on Instagram that he was âgratefulâ to be sober.
Julio FoolioÂ

Rapper Julio Foolio died after allegedly being âambushedâ in the parking lot of a Holiday Inn in Tampa, Fla., on June 23.
According to News4JAX, he was allegedly shot and succumbed to his injuries.
The hitmaker celebrated his 26th birthday a few days before.
Donald Sutherland

Beloved actor Donald Sutherland died in June 2024, his son Kiefer Sutherland announced on X.
âWith a heavy heart, I tell you that my father, Donald Sutherland, has passed away,â Kiefer wrote on June 20. âI personally think one of the most important actors in the history of film.
âNever daunted by a role, good, bad or ugly. He loved what he did and did what he loved, and one can never ask for more than that. A life well lived.â
The âHunger Gamesâ actor was 88.
Willie Mays

Willie Mays, widely considered to be one of the greatest baseball players in history, died on June 18. He was 93.
âIt is with great sadness that we announce that San Francisco Giants Legend and Hall of Famer Willie Mays passed away peacefully this afternoon at the age of 93,â the San Francisco Giants tweeted on X announcing the news on behalf of Maysâ family.
Mays signed with Major League Baseballâs New York Giants after high school graduation and won Rookie of the Year his first season. He was named the National League MVP twice and was elected to the Baseball Hall of Fame in 1979.
Jerry West

Jerry West, former Los Angeles Lakers star who is the face of the NBA logo, died at age 86 on June 12.
âJerry West, the personification of basketball excellence and a friend to all who knew him, passed away peacefully this morning at the age of 86. His wife, Karen, was by his side,â read a statement from the Los Angeles Clippers.
West played 14 seasons for the Lakers and led the team to nine appearances in the NBA finals, winning the title once in 1972.
A cause of death was not disclosed.
Enchanting

Rapper Enchanting died on June 11 after she was placed on life support following an overdose, per the Daily Mail. She was 26.
âShe came to my house the last four days to get clean,â a rep from the musician told the Shade Room, according to the outlet. âShe tried her best and I did everything I could to help her, she tried.â
The Texas-based artist â born Channing Nicole Larry â started in the music industry after high school when she signed with Gucci Maneâs 1017 label.
Aside from music, Enchanting was also an OnlyFans model.
Johnny Wactor

âGeneral Hospitalâ actor Johnny Wactor died after being shot during a robbery attempt in downtown Los Angeles. He was 37.
Wactorâs mother, Scarlett, told TMZ that he was killed early May 25 after he and a colleague allegedly caught three suspects trying to steal a catalytic converter from his car.
The actor was fatally shot when he confronted them, even though authorities told his mother that he did not put up a fight.
The actor is survived by his mother and his brothers, Lance and Grant.
Albert S. Ruddy

Movie producer Albert S. Ruddy died on May 25. He was 94.
His family said he succumbed to a brief illness at the Ronald Reagan UCLA Medical Center in Los Angeles.
Ruddy won two Oscars for best picture for 1972âs âThe Godfatherâ and 2004âs âMillion Dollar Baby.â He also co-created the CBS sitcom âHoganâs Heroes,â which aired from 1965 to 1971.
Bill Walton

Former NBA MVP Bill Walton, who became a legendary broadcaster later in life, died on May 27 following a cancer battle. He was 71.
âBill Walton was truly one of a kind,â NBA commissioner Adam Silver said in a statement at the time.
âI treasured our close friendship, envied his boundless energy and admired the time he took with every person he encountered.â
Morgan Spurlock

Dabney Coleman

Hollywood icon Dabney Coleman died at the age of 92 on May 16.
At the time, his daughter Quincy told us the actor âtook his last earthly breath peacefully and exquisitelyâ at his home in Santa Monica.
âMy father crafted his time here on earth with a curious mind, a generous heart, and a soul on fire with passion, desire and humor that tickled the funny bone of humanity,â she said. âAs he lived, he moved through this final act of his life with elegance, excellence and mastery.â
âA teacher, a hero, and a king, Dabney Coleman is a gift and blessing in life and in death as his spirit will shine through his work, his loved ones and his legacyâŠeternally.â
Coleman was best known for his roles in â9 to 5,â âTootsie,â âYouâve Got Mailâ and more.
Mandisa

The âOvercomerâ singer died at home in Nashville, Tenn., and although no cause of death was given, the radio stationâs chief media officer said the struggles she faced from a traumatized past were âover.â
Kyle Marisa Roth

âKyle loved and lived fiercely. Nothing makes sense now and weâll understand more in the next few days. Be kind to one another please,â she continued.
Her cause of death is currently unknown.
OJ Simpson

OJ Simpson âsuccumbed to his battle to cancerâ on April 10 at age 76.
âHe was surrounded by his children and grandchildren,â read the statement posted to his X account on April 11. âDuring this time of transition, his family asks that you please respect their wishes for privacy and grace.â
Simpson played 11 seasons in the NFL but was best known for his 1995 acquittal after standing trial for the murder of ex-wife Nicole Brown Simpson and her friend Ron Goldman.
C.J. Snare

FireHouse lead singer C.J. Snare died on April 5 from cardiac arrest, his daughter, Heather, told TMZ. He was 64.
His surviving bandmates took to Facebook to mourn his death, writing, âToday is a sad day for Rock N Roll.â
They continued, âCJ was expected to be back on stage with the band this summer after recovering from surgery. We are all in complete shock with CJâs untimely passing.â
Leading up to his death, Snare was also battling cancer.
Cole Brings Plenty

He was located after he had been reported missing and declared the suspect of a domestic violence case days earlier.
He was 27.
Chance Perdomo

âGen Vâ star Chance Perdomo died March 30 at age 27 âas a result of a motorcycle accident,â according to his publicist.
âIt is with heavy hearts that we share the news of Chance Perdomoâs untimely passing as a result of a motorcycle accident,â the rep told Variety.
âAuthorities have advised that no other individuals were involved. His passion for the arts and insatiable appetite for life was felt by all who knew him, and his warmth will carry on in those who he loved dearest.â
Perdomo earned a BAFTA nomination for best actor in a leading role for his role as Jerome Rogers in the 2018 TV movie âKilled by My Debt.â
In âGen V,â the British-American actor played Andre Anderson, a student at Godolkin University who has magnetic manipulation abilities.
M. Emmet Walsh

M. Emmet Walsh, who appeared in âBlade Runnerâ and âKnives Out,â died at the age of 88 on March 19.
Walshâs long-time manager, Sandy Joseph, told Entertainment Tonight that the actor died from cardiac arrest at a hospital in Vermont.
Walsh appeared in 119 films and 250 television productions throughout his decades-long career, which began in 1969.
Robyn Bernard

Robyn Bernard â famous for her work on âGeneral Hospitalâ â was pronounced dead on March 12, according to TMZ.
The actressâ body was found in the town of San Jacinto, CA. Riverside County Coroner told TMZ they identified Bernard by using her fingerprints.
No cause of death has been determined yet, but an autopsy is scheduled to be performed in the near future.
Bernard, who was 64 at the time of her death, had small parts in â80s TV shows like âDiva,â âThe Facts Of Life,â âSimon & Simon,â and âTour of Duty,â before getting her big break in 1984 on âGeneral Hospital.â
She played Terry Brock for 145 episodes until 1990.
Leah Smith

TikToker Leah Smith died from stage 4 bone cancer on March 11. She was 22.
âWeâll all miss Leah but weâll make sure that we never forget her,â her boyfriend, Andrew, said in a statement shared on her TikTok page.
Smith began documenting her journey with cancer on social media in 2019. She amassed 525,000 followers.
Steve Lawrence

Steve Lawrence, who rose to fame in the â50s in the musical duo Steve & Eydie with his wife, Eydie GormĂ©, died on March 7.
âMy Dad was an inspiration to so many people. But, to me, he was just this charming, handsome, hysterically funny guy who sang a lot. Sometimes alone and sometimes with his insanely talented wife,â his son, David Lawrence, said in a statement on March 7.
He died of Alzheimerâs-related issues. He was 88 years old.
Garrison Brown

âSister Wivesâ stars Janelle and Kody Brownâs son Garrison died in an apparent suicide on March 5. He was 25.
The Flagstaff Police Department told TMZ that Garrison died at his home in Arizona, where he had been living on his own after moving away from his family. Police told the outlet that he was dead at the scene when they arrived, adding that he appeared to have suffered a self-inflicted gunshot wound.
Janelle later took to Instagram to confirm the news of her loss.
âKody and I are deeply saddened to announce the loss of our beautiful boy Robert Garrison Brown,â she wrote alongside two photos of Garrison.
âHe was a bright spot in the lives of all who knew him. His loss will leave such a big hole in our lives that it takes our breath away. We ask that you please respect our privacy and join us in honoring his memory.â
TLC, meanwhile, told Page Six, âWe are devastated to hear of the tragic loss of Garrison Brown. We extend our deepest sympathies and heartfelt condolences to the Brown family at this difficult time.â

The âCurb Your Enthusiasmâ star and legendary comic passed away in his Los Angeles home Feb. 27 after suffering a heart attack, his publicist, Jeff Abraham, confirmed to Deadline.
According to the rep, Lewis had been living with Parkinsonâs disease, which the comic revealed in April 2023.
âHis wife, Joyce Lapinsky, thanks everyone for all the love, friendship and support and asks for privacy at this time,â Abraham said in a statement.
Thomas Kingston

Thomas Kingston, the ex of Pippa Middleton, died on Feb. 25 at age 45.
The financier was reportedly found dead at an address in Gloucestershire, England, and emergency services were called to the residence shortly after.

Chris Gauthier

âAs a beloved Vancouver-based character actor, Chris shared his talents with so many of us both on television and in film. His loss is felt not just by his fans but by those of us who were lucky enough to know him more personally,â the agency shared in a statement.
Gauthier is survived by his wife, Erin, and his two sons, Ben and Sebastian.
Tony Ganios

Tony Ganios, best known for playing Meat in the 1981 sex comedy film âPorkyâsâ and starring in several other fan-favorite flicks, died Feb. 18.
He died after undergoing surgery for a spinal infection, his longtime fiancée, Amanda Serrano-Ganios, revealed on X. The surgery was successful, but he suffered a fatal heart attack the following day as he was recovering in a New York hospital.
He was 64.
Cecilia Gentili

âOur beloved Cecilia Gentili passed away this morning to continue watching over us in spirit,â a statement shared to her Instagram read. âPlease be gentle with each other and love one another with ferocity.â
Although the statement didnât reveal how the actress died, fans were reassured that there would be âmore updatesâ shared at a later date.
Along with her acting career, Gentili was also known for her advocacy for the LGBTQ+ community, sex workers and undocumented immigrants.
Toby Keith

Country music star Toby Keith passed away on Monday, Feb. 5, after a battle with stomach cancer, his team announced on social media. He was 62.
âHe fought his fight with grace and courage,â the statement read. âPlease respect the privacy of his family at this time.â
The âRed Solo Cupâ crooner first announced his diagnosis in June 2022 after he already had undergone treatment for six months.
Carl Weathers

Carl Weathers died in his sleep on Feb 1, his family confirmed in a statement to Page Six. He was 76.
The actor was best known for his role as Apollo Creed in the first four âRockyâ films. He also starred in âHappy Gilmoreâ alongside Adam Sandler and in âThe Predatorâ alongside Arnold Schwarzanegger.
His relatives told Page Six of the âMandalorianâ alum, âCarl was an exceptional human being who lived an extraordinary life.â
Hinton Battle

Broadway star Hinton Battle â who originated the role of the Scarecrow in âThe Wizâ â died on Jan. 29, his friend Debbie Allen confirmed. He was 67.
âToday I honor Hinton Battle, my dear friend who left us to dance and sing in Godâs Ensemble last night,â the actress wrote on Instagram. âHe fought this battle to live and be creative impacting audiences and young people across the globe.
âLet us always hold him high in our hearts and in our mindâs eye and forever speak his name.âÂ
Allen didnât reveal a cause of death for Battle.
Chita Rivera

Chita Rivera â the Tony Award-winning Broadway actress, singer and dancer â died Jan. 30. She was 91.
âIt is with immense personal sorrow that I announce the death of the beloved Broadway icon Chita Rivera. My dear friend of over 40 years was 91,â her rep, Merle Frimark, said in a statement to People.
Riveraâs daughter, Lisa Mordente, said in her own statement that her mom died in New York âafter a brief illness.â
Melanie Safka

Melanie Safka, who was best known for her 1970 hit song âLay Down (Candles in the Rain),â died on Jan. 23. She was 76.
âMom passed, peacefully, out of this world and into the next,â her children â Leilah, Jeordie and Beau Jarred â wrote on Facebook.
âOur world is much dimmer, the colors of a dreary, rainy Tennessee pale with her absence today, but we know that she is still here, smiling down on all of us, on all of you, from the stars.â
While Safkaâs cause of death hasnât been revealed, the singer may have been ill, per the Hollywood Reporter.
Charles Osgood

Charles Osgood, veteran CBS newsman and longtime host of âSunday Morning,â died on Jan. 23. He was 91.
The award-winning journalist passed away following a battle with dementia at his New Jersey home, according to CBS News.
âCharlie absolutely loved being part of the âSunday Morningâ community,â his family said in a statement to the outlet.
âWeâll miss him terribly, but there is comfort in knowing his life was charmed, in large part thanks to you. From the bottom of our hearts, thank you for welcoming him into your homes on Sundays to share stories, and to highlight the better parts of humanity,â they added.
âHeâll see you on the radio.â
Adam Harrison

He reportedly died from an overdose, but nothing further is known surrounding his sudden death.
Lynne Marta

The âFootlooseâ actress passed away in her Los Angeles home on Jan. 11.
Marta made various appearances in hit shows such as âStarsky & Hutch,â âCharlieâs Angelsâ and âThe Mod Squad.â
Roy Battersby

Joyce Randolph

Her son, Randolph Richard Charles, told TMZ that the actress died in her sleep while under hospice care at her home in New York City.
Randolph rose to fame for her role as Trixie Norton in the hit 1950s sitcom. She was the last surviving cast member.
Alec Musser

Alec Musser, who was most known for his roles in âAll My Childrenâ and âGrown Ups,â died on Jan. 12.
His fiancĂ©e, Paige Press, told TMZ, that the 50-year-old model died at his home in Del Mar, Calif. â yet his cause of death remains unknown.
Following his passing, Press posted several Instagram Stories in honor of the late actor.
âRIP to the love of my life,â she wrote atop an image of the two. âI will never stop loving you. My heart is broken.â
Musserâs former co-star Adam Sandler also paid tribute to the actor, calling him a âwonderful, funny good man.â
âI loved this guy,â Sandler wrote. âCannot believe he is gone.â
Bill Hayes

Soap star Bill Hayes â who starred on âDays of Our Livesâ alongside his real-life wife, Susan Seaforth Hayes â died on Jan. 12, a rep for the show told People.
âOne of the longest-running characters on âDays of our Lives,â Bill originated the role of âDoug Williamsâ in 1970 and portrayed him continuously throughout his life,â the spokesperson said.
Bill, born William Foster Hayes III, passed away in Los Angeles and his cause of death was not immediately known. He was 98.Â

Crombie was best known for his recurring role as âCrazyâ Joe Davola in âSeinfeld.â He also acted in films like âMy Dog Skip,â âSe7enâ and âRising Sun,â and appeared in shows like âNYPD Blueâ and âWalker, Texas Ranger.â
Adan Canto

Adan Canto, who was best known for his roles on âThe Cleaning Ladyâ and âDesignated Survivor,â died at age 42 following a private battle with appendiceal cancer.
âAdan had a depth of spirit that few truly knew. Those who glimpsed it were changed forever,â his reps told the Wrap in a statement on Jan. 9. âHe will be greatly missed by so many.â
Canto is survived by his wife, Stephanie Ann Canto, and their two toddlers, Roman Alder and Eve Josephine.
James Kottak

Former Scorpions and Kingdom Come drummer James Kottak died on Jan. 9 at age 61.
The musicianâs daughter, Tobi, confirmed the news to TMZ, telling the outlet that her dad died that morning in his hometown of Louisville, Ky.
Kottakâs cause and manner of death were not disclosed.
He is survived by his three children, whom he shared with ex-wife Athena Lee.
Cindy Morgan

Cindy Morgan, known for her roles in âCaddyshackâ and âTron,â died at the age of 69, TMZ reported on Jan. 6.
She was found already deceased in her Lake Worth Beach, Fla. bedroom by police after her roommate returned home from a trip and called law enforcement.
No foul play is suspected, and TMZ reported that a county rep told them Morgan died from ânatural causes.â
Christian Oliver

Christian Oliver and his two young daughters were killed in a plane crash on Jan. 4. He was 51.
The actor and his kids, Madita and Annik, were flying on a small plane from the island of Bequia to nearby St. Lucia when their pilot, Robert Sachs, contacted a control tower to report a problem. That was the last communication with those on the plane.
The crash was captured on video and shows the small plane plummeting into the ocean.
Divers and fishermen rushed to the scene of the crash and authorities were able to recover the bodies.
The âSpeed Racerâ star, his daughters, and Sachs were pronounced dead on the scene.
David Soul

David Soul died on Jan. 4 at age 80 after a âvaliant battle for life in the loving company of family,â his wife, Helen Snell, announced in a statement at the time. His exact cause of death was unknown.
Soul rose to fame in the 1970s when he played Detective Kenneth âHutchâ Hutchinson in the popular crime show, âStarsky & Hutch.â

âToday is a somber day for Hollywood. Not only do we mourn the passing of our dear Glynis, but we mourn the end of the golden age of Hollywood,â her manager, Mitch Clem, said after her death.
Johns was known for her role as Winifred Banks in âMary Poppins.â She also earned a Best Supporting Actress Oscar nomination for her role as Mrs. Firth in âThe Sundowners,â which was released in 1960.

Johnson later appeared in several other television series, including, âM*A*S*H,â âQuincy M.E.,â âLaw & Order,â âThe Incredible Hulk,â âDays of Our Livesâ and âBuffy the Vampire Slayer.â
