Chelsea interested in Borussia Dortmund forward Karim Adeyemi
Chelsea are interested in a deal to sign Borussia Dortmund forward Karim Adeyemi, 90min understands.
The Blues are looking for a new right-sided forward to fit in Enzo Maresca’s preferred setup and are drawing up a list of alternative targets after missing out on Michael Olise, who has joined Bayern Munich.
Sources have confirmed to 90min that Chelsea have been impressed by Adeyemi and believe his potential asking price of £25m represents good value in the current market, with club officials assessing a possible move internally.
Contact has not yet been made with Dortmund, who are prepared to sell if their financial demands are met.
Juventus are also exploring a potential move for the 22-year-old but, like Chelsea, have not advanced their interest at this point.

A new right winger remains a priority for Chelsea this summer as they seek further competition for Cole Palmer and Noni Madueke, but the Blues are also open to signing a new striker, and the fact Adeyemi is comfortable in both positions is seen as a positive.
Chelsea’s current approach to transfers is finding good-value deals. Tosin Adarabioyo joined on a free transfer from Fulham and Marc Guiu was signed for just £5.1m from Barcelona, while Kiernan Dewsbury-Hall’s £30m switch from Leicester City is also seen as a smart piece of business internally.
At £25m, Chelsea recognise that Adeyemi could prove to be an opportunity in the transfer market but the Blues are exploring all the options available to them before committing to a move.
Lille’s Jonathan David remains under consideration. 90min understands the Canada international could be available for around £20m if the payment structure is favourable to Lille, although Chelsea have not yet made a decision on the 24-year-old.
