Chelsea offered chance to sign two PSG stars amid pursuit of Victor Osimhen

Chelsea have been given the opportunity to sign one of two Paris Saint-Germain (PSG) strikers this summer as the French champions aim to secure a deal for Napoli’s Victor Osimhen, Soccernet.ng understands.

PSG and Napoli are locked in talks regarding the transfer of Osimhen, with the Ligue 1 giants intent on making a marquee signing this summer following the departure of Kylian Mbappe.

Still, the Parisians are looking to make room and balance their finances to facilitate a potentially high-cost transfer for Osimhen.

Chelsea have also been linked with the Nigerian striker throughout the summer but are currently not in a position to pursue the deal due to financial constraints.

PSG, however, are keen to push forward with their plans to bring in Osimhen, who is also wanted by Saudi Arabian club Al Hilal.

According to HITC, intermediaries have contacted clubs, including Chelsea, to inform them of the availability of PSG strikers Randal Kolo Muani and Gonçalo Ramos. PSG are willing to part with any of the duo to create space for Osimhen.

Chelsea, who relied heavily on Nicolas Jackson last season, are open to bolstering their striking options.

Although Muani has been linked with Chelsea in the past, those links have not led to any concrete action. At this moment, Chelsea have not responded to the offer regarding the PSG strikers.

It remains uncertain whether Chelsea will pursue either Kolo Muani or Ramos, but the club’s search for a new striker continues.

Osimhen scored 17 goals across all competitions for Napoli this season and played a crucial role as Nigeria reached the final of the 2023 Africa Cup of Nations in Cote d’Ivoire.

The 25-year-old forward, however, became the toast of many suitors in Europe and Saudi Arabia last year after netting a historic 31 Serie A goals to guide Napoli to their first Scudetto in 33 years.
