Chelsea to rival Arsenal for La Liga youngster’s signature
Chelsea travel to The City Ground to face Nottingham Forest in a crucial match on the final day of the Premier League campaign on Sunday.
The Blues currently sit fifth in the top flight table but will miss out on qualification for next season’s Champions League if they lose against Forest on Sunday.
Victory will be enough to secure a top five spot for Enzo Maresca’s side, while a draw will see the Blues rely on other results to ensure their place in Europe’s top club competition next term.
Chelsea are likely to once again be busy during this summer’s transfer window, and it appears that they could rival Arsenal for the signing of a La Liga youngster.
According to CaughtOffside, the Blues have joined London rivals Arsenal in the race to sign Valencia defender Cristhian Mosquera.

The report claims that the Gunners have been monitoring the 20-year-old for some time now, but they have been joined in the race to sign him.
Mosquera will soon enter into the final year of his current contract with Valencia, and he is said to have a number of clubs interested in him with his future very much uncertain.
The centre-back is a product of Valencia’s youth system and has featured regularly for the Spanish side over the past couple of seasons, with his next appearance taking him to 90 across all competitions for the club.
It is claimed that Chelsea are expected to initiate talks about a possible deal for the player in the near future, while Valencia could be willing to sell him this summer for a fee of around £21 million in order to avoid losing him for free at the end of his contract.
Several sides across Europe, including Atletico Madrid, Bayer Leverkusen, RB Leipzig and Bayern Munich are all also said to be interested in the Spaniard, who currently represents his country at under-21 level.
