Cheltenham Festival 2024 Wednesday tips
Baring Bingham Novices’ Hurdle: High Class Hero 33/1 each-way
Brown Advisory Novices’ Chase: Grangeclare West 7/2
Queen Mother Champion Chase: El Fabiolo 1/1
Glenfarclas Chase: Delta Work 4/1
High Class Hero 33/1 each-way
There are still 45 possible entries into this race so take the prices and the runners with a pinch of salt at this point.
Trainer Willie Mullins has a few in contention that could go down this route of the 2m5f hurdle rather than 3m or 2m options.

High Class Hero is one of huge note though, the seven-year-old has registered among the top RPR rated horse, won every race under rules including the latest in listed company back in October.
The gelding beat The Big Doyen comfortably in that race at Limerick along with Sequestered at Listowel in September, also comfortably and could be considered as an each-way shout over a similar distance against many horses he should be able to beat.
Captain Teague, Croke Park, The Jukebox Man and Minella Missile all appeal as massive prices so it will be very interesting to see who makes the cut.
Grangeclare West 7/2
It’s another Mullins-trained horse that appeals for the Brown Advisory, in Grangeclare West.

The eight-year-old was tipped last time out, at Leopardstown Christmas Festival’s Neville Hotels Novice Chase, beating Corbetts Cross.
Despite seeing the potential it was still a surprise to see him win that so comfortably and clearly, the step up in trip from 2m4f to 3m is a trip that the horse is going to thrive over for years to come.
That is of course if he can continue that form going into the big festivals in the spring.
His win was so good he was quick to cut into favouritism from the bookies just ahead of Fact To File and Stay Away Fay who are the three leaders in the market.
El Fabiolo 1/1
Can Mullins make this a Wednesday to remember at Cheltenham Festival, with three Grade 1 winners in quick succession?
Well El Fabiolo could be that treble winner in the feature race.
It’s El Fabiolo vs Jonbon again after they faced off in the Arkle last year and it’s going to be a great renewal of the Queen Mother.
The Mullins-trained horse came out on top to Nicky Henderson’s star last year winning by over five lengths and he’s continued to be unbeaten over fences at Punchestown and Cork in Grade meetings.
Jonbon does look better than ever this year but it still seems El Fabiolo has it in him to improve further with his jumping.
Delta Work 4/1
The Cross Country is a great race ingrained into the festival, seeing the different obstacles than the usual fences and hurdles, is a sight to behold at the HQ of jumps racing.
It’s set to be dominated by the top-rated horses though, as the lower rated runners have a lot to find in terms of ability running off the same mark as these veterans.
Delta Work hasn’t won in a while and the now 11-year-old is getting on a bit, but he’s still showing great stamina and of course his last win was in this race last year but after two lacklustre performances, he’s dropped down in the weights to a mark he hasn’t been since 2018.
Conflated is an interesting runner having run in the Champion Chase in November, beaten narrowly by Gerri Colombe and now looks to take on a different kind of challenge rather than a Grade 1.
But Delta Work still has that experience that makes him tough to side against, he won this last year coming off the back of two losses and is still in great condition, finishing ahead of Galvin in the Cross Country in November.
That race was dominated by those horses gifted a tonne of weight from Delta Work and he still managed to place sixth, which still bodes well running off the same weight in this race.
