Kansas City Chiefs tight end Travis Kelce donated $100,000 to two children shot following Wednesday’s Super Bowl celebration.
TMZ reported the news of Kelce’s donation.
The two sisters in the Reyes family, aged 8 and 10, were two of the 22 people injured during Wednesday’s shooting. One woman was killed.
Both sisters underwent surgery on their legs and will be wearing casts “for months,” according to Yahoo Sports’ Callie Lawson-Freeman.
The Reyes family set up a GoFundMe page with a goal of $100,000. According to the family, the money will be used for the children’s “physical and mental recovery” as well as their college funds.
Following Kelce’s donation, the family has raised more than $176,000.
Chiefs quarterback Patrick Mahomes and his wife, Brittany Mahomes, visited the children in the hospital Friday.
Taylor Swift, who is dating Kelce, also donated to victims of Wednesday’s shooting.
Swift sent $100,000 to the family of Lisa Lopez-Galvan, who was killed during the parade, according to the Associated Press.
“Sending my deepest sympathies and condolences in the wake of your devastating loss. With love, Taylor Swift,” read the message on Swift’s donation.
The GoFundMe for Lopez-Galvan had raised more than $315,000 as of Friday.
