Childish Gambino surprise-dropped a new album this week, unveiling tour dates for an international run of shows scheduled for later this year and into 2025.

Actor Donald Glover, also known as the musician Childish Gambino, stayed true to his promise of a new album. On Monday, he surprised fans with the drop of Atavista, a reimagining of his 2020 LP 3.15.20, featuring two new songs. The artist also unveiled an international New World Tour with dates beginning this summer and running through next year.

“This album is the finished version of ‘3.15.20,’ the album I put out 4 years ago,” wrote Gambino on the former Twitter. “There’s a special vinyl coming soon [with] visuals for each song,” he added. “The all new Childish Gambino album comes out in the summer.”

Notably, the original 3.15.20 album featured tracks that were not released on streaming services. Atavista features most of these and more, but with new titles and updated production. The project features collaborations with artists like Ariana Grande, 21 Savage, Young Nudy, Ink, and Kadhja Bonet. The accompanying tour sees Childish trek across North America starting on August 11 in Oklahoma City and wrapping up in Chicago on October 3. The international leg then picks up on October 21 in France and ends (so far) with a final show in Australia on February 11.

The North American dates will see Gambino joined by Willow, while the international dates see him accompanied by Ghanaian American star Amaarae. Tickets for the New World Tour will go on sale to the general public on Friday, May 17, at 10 AM local time. American Express cardholders can access a pre-sale starting May 15 at 10 AM.
