Chris Martin’s Protégé, Victoria Canal, denied rumors that she is dating Tom Cruise.

“Guys, this is literally bonkers, but apparently the tabloids think i am dating tom cruise. i’m deceased.💀,” she wrote in a lengthy Instagram statement Monday along with a photo of herself covering her laughter with one hand as well as screengrabs of several tabloids reporting their alleged romance.

Canal, 25, admitted that Cruise, 62, is a “lovely person” but is definitely not her boyfriend.

The Spanish singer, seen here with the actor in July, said that the gossip was “literally bonkers.”

“Let’s just stop this in its tracks – i’m sorry to bum u out but i am not dating the man, albeit a lovely person & artist,” she wrote. “lol never thought I would have to clarify that out loud in my life.”

The Spanish singer said that the “Risky Business” actor has been “nothing but a respectful and encouraging person and mentor” and compared him to her dad, her music teachers, and her other mentor, Chris Martin.

“And again, i am friends with all kinds of people who are very different to me. you learn a lot if you’re open to life bringing you those teachers,” she wrote.

“Let’s just stop this in its tracks – i’m sorry to bum u out but i am not dating the man, albeit a lovely person & artist,” she wrote in an Instagram statement on Monday.

She then seized the moment to promote her upcoming musical projects including new songs and a  Europe and North America tour.

“Ok lastly gonna take this opportunity to say I’M GOING ON TOUR and have 2 new slaying songs out so if you’re new here, enjoy xx,” she said.

The “Mission: Impossible” star and Canal recently spurred dating rumors after they met at the Glastonbury Festival in England earlier this summer.

Canal and Cruise met at the Glastonbury Festival in England earlier this summer.

Canal had performed with Coldplay on stage in June and Cruise was spotted taking in the performance from a VIP area.

“Tom invited Victoria to watch him film for the whole day and that is just not something he does for his random friends,” a source told the Sun. “It might have seemed unlikely that they would become anything more than friends but they are pretty much inseparable.”

The insider claimed that Cruise and Canal had been “seeing a lot of one another” and that their romance had been blooming “in plain sight.”

Days after their initial meeting at the music festival, Cruise and Canal traveled to the “Twisters” premiere in London together via helicopter.

“We met backstage at Glastonbury and talked about the upcoming premiere we were both going to and he said, ‘roll with me!’” Canal explained on Instagram.

A week later, they were seen at the Battersea Power Station’s helipad for another flight. They also attended Bruce Springsteen’s sold out show at Wembley Stadium and both posed for a photo with the “Dancing in the Dark” artist.

“I should promote my song (california sober) coming out at midnight but I’m too busy watching bruce with the most random friend i’ve ever made ! xxxx” Canal captioned an Instagram post with Cruise and Springsteen.

Canal also attended the Bruce Springsteen concert with Cruise.

Canal, who was born without her right forearm due to amniotic band syndrome, caught the attention of Martin after she released her first EP in 2022, which included her hit, “Swan Song.”

 The “Viva La Vida” singer called the track, “one of the best songs ever written” and invited her to join Coldplay on stage during their set at Glastonbury. Martin also signed her to his record label, Parlophone.

Cruise was most recently romantically linked to Russian socialite, Elsina Khayrova, 36, though they split this past winter after things moved too quickly.
