Christantus Uche and Samuel Chukwueze grab assists for Getafe and AC Milan in season finales
Super Eagles winger Samuel Chukwueze got off the bench to assist the opener for AC Milan in their 2-0 win over Monza in their final game of the season, Soccernet.ng reports.
Chukwueze started from the bench for Milan in what seemed like his last game for the club. However, after the first half ended goalless, coach Costa decided to introduce the Super Eagles star into the game at halftime.
Chukwueze’s introduction added some bite to AC Milan’s attack, and he eventually got the assist for their opening goal in the 64th minute.
The former Villarreal man whipped in a perfect corner from the right side of the Rossoneri’s attack, and Matteo Gabbia jumped highest to meet it and score to make it 1-0.

Then, 10 minutes later, Joao Felix produced a beautiful effort off a freekick from just around 25 yards to make it 2-0. That goal was just enough for the Rossoneri, as they ran out with the win.
It was likely Chukwueze’s final game for AC Milan, as he is one of the players that the Rossoneri want to get off their books in the summer.
Christantus Uche unable to stop Getafe from losing again
Last week, Christantus Uche scored the winning goal for Getafe in their 2-1 win over Mallorca. That victory put an end to a terrible run of six consecutive losses for Getafe.
Unfortunately for them, they failed to build on that to finish the season on a high when they welcomed Celta Vigo to the Coliseum.
Coach Jose Bordalas’ men started on a strong note, and they got the opener after just 11 minutes. Uche intercepted a poor pass from Celta Vigo’s goalkeeper Vicente Guaita in the middle of Celta Vigo’s half.
Then he laid the ball off for Borja Mayoral, who was lurking in front of the box. The striker quickly turned his man and struck the ball past the goalkeeper.

However, Getafe failed to sustain their momentum and conceded just 14 minutes later, courtesy of a strike from Borja Iglesias. Celta Vigo, who were the visiting side, looked better.
They eventually scored the winning goal in the 80th minute courtesy of Iago Aspas.
Uche was taken out of the game in the 84th minute. Aside from his assist, he did not affect the game much. The game eventually ended 2-1, ensuring that Getafe finished the season in 13th position.
Next up for Uche is the Unity Cup with Nigeria, and he will be looking to make his Super Eagles debut and make a big mark.
