Christine Quinn’s estranged husband formally charged with child abuse and assault

Christine Quinn’s estranged husband, Christian Richard Dumontet, was formally charged with three misdemeanors over a domestic violence incident in March.

Law enforcement officials told TMZ Wednesday that Dumontet was charged with child abuse/endangerment, assault and violation of a protection order.

However, the Los Angeles County District Attorney decided the case did not meet felony filing requirements.

Quinn’s attorney, Jacqueline Sparagna, told Page Six Wednesday they are “extremely satisfied” with the Los Angeles City Attorney’s office’s decision.

“He has now been formally charged with child abuse against his 2-year-old toddler, assault against Christine Quinn, and for violating a restraining order,” Sparagna said in a statement.

“We believe this development is a crucial step toward safeguarding the legal and personal interests of both victims and trust that the matter will continue to be handled with the utmost seriousness it deserves.”

Dumontet was arrested on March 19 after he allegedly threw a bag of glass at the “Selling Sunset” star, 35. However, Quinn claimed the bag missed her and hit their 2-year-old son, whom she has since requested full custody of.

The software engineer was arrested for a second time just 33 hours later after he returned to their home — despite Quinn filing an emergency restraining order against him.

In the restraining order, Quinn alleged that her estranged husband suffers from serious mental health issues, including bipolar, mania and schizophrenia.

Leading up to their dispute, the former reality TV star said she voiced her “dissatisfaction” with their relationship.

He then started yelling at her and throwing things — including “heavy floral arrangements” — around the house.

Quinn claimed that leading up to the incident Dumontet threw “feces” and other items around the home at her. MEGA

“He narrowly missed hitting me with one of the metal rods, but I was struck by one of boxes he threw,” she claimed.

“He then opened a can of Red Bull and threw that across the room as well, making more of a mess … and returned a short time later, and threw dog feces at me, which he pulled out of the trash.”

The following day, Quinn was cleaning up the house when she and Dumontet began arguing again.

“While I was working, I heard, and felt the rush of air from an object hurtling towards me and our son. The next instant I heard what sounded like glass breaking,” she alleged.

Quinn claimed she “saw broken glass in our son’s hair and on the floor,” adding, “After a few seconds our son burst into tears and began screaming. I was concerned about his health and safety.”

Dumontet rushed to court and filed for divorce on April 5 — less than two weeks after the incident.
