Boosie & T.I. Call Out Their Sons For Props
The trending video, obtained and shared by The Shade Room, begins with Tip raising his voice amid a group of people. King, Boosie, and Tootie Raww are all visible in the circulating clip.
âTreat mine like you treat yours,â T.I. says as he walks away from the group. Boosie then chimes in, saying, âWhy yâall got so much guns, bro? Why yâall always gotta have guns?â
T.I. added, âWhat is it about the guns, man?â while standing next to Boosie.
King Harris then responds, âItâs not illegal to have guns.â But T.I. didnât back down, adding that the âmannerâ and âlifestyleâ King was allegedly portraying the music video makes the gun possession look illegitimate. In response, Boosie let the boys know he wonât be supporting the video. T.I. agreed.
âWhat kind of parent gonâ support their godd**n kids when they sliding, riding and poppingâŠâ Tip said, before posing a question to the group about who would claim ownership of the guns on set if the police pulled up.
ââŠWho raising they hand?â he asked.
Both Boosie and T.I. then began running down what kind of legal trouble King Harris and Tootie Raww could get into for having the firearms on set, particularly if there are any drugs around. King denied there being drugs, though.
âThat is a felony, thank you!â T.I. loudly declared.
Then, Tip asked Tootie and King why doesnât their music focus on something other than the gangster lifestyle, such as âbeing in love.â Someone responds âWe got that too,â before the video cuts off. Watch the father-son interactions below.Â
Tiny & Social Media Reacts To Fathersâ Concerns
Boosie and T.I.âs reactions seemingly come from a place of experience, as theyâve both had separate legal troubles involving firearms. In 2009, T.I. was sentenced to one year in prison for gun-related charges after serving 1,000 community hours and touring the country to advocate for the dangers of drugs, guns, and gangs, per Reuters. Meanwhile, in July, Boosie spoke out after being indicted for a second time on gun charges.
In The Shade Roomâs comment section, the circulating clip received more than 8,000 written reactions. Many applauded the fathers for checking their sons over the music video props. Tiny Harris also stepped into the chat to clarify the origin of the clip.
âThis is old! This is frm a TV show that Tip & Boosie was filming with their sons! Wish u could see all the eps. Theyâre funny but still instilling father & son values! Yâall so quick to hate on King itâs crazy,â Tiny wrote.
@iamspectacular wrote, âThis is why fatherhood is important. Lead the kids Kings.â
âPerfect example of âlearn from my mistakes,’â @jls417 wrote.
âBoth Boosie and Tip went to prison they telling yâall the truth. This is correct parenting right here,â @unemployed.mike added.
Radio personality Ebro also weighed in, writing, âFirst, why yaâll rapping anyway? Too many rappers already. Second, why are you lying be yourself. Third, thatâs why the one brother, Domani, kinda poppinâ âŠ. Being himself. Amd furthermore⊠love this.â
@_jaixo said, âThinking they spent them years in prison for yâall to go the same route is crazy. These kids man.â
