Cleveland Browns vs. Las Vegas Raiders Week 4 Odds, Time, and Prediction

Both teams are 1-2 in the 2024 NFL. The Las Vegas Raiders should blame their defensive team for not doing better. When it comes to the Cleveland Browns, it’s their offensive team that should take all the blame. However, both are looking to improve, which is why the Browns vs. Raiders game on Sunday is supposed to be a very interesting affair.

All Eyes on the Cleveland Browns Offense
The Cleveland Browns are eight from behind when it comes to scoring. Their average is just 16.7 points per game, which is kind of embarrassing for a team that has Deshaun Watson as their quarterback and Amari Cooper, Jerry Jeudy, and Elijah Moore as receivers.

Their passing game hasn’t been as good as expected, but it’s their running game that’s really been embarrassing. They’re near the bottom of the table when rushing yards are concerned.

When it comes to rushing TDs, they’ve scored two so far. One was the work of the QB, while the other was scored by running back Jerome Ford, who’s been their key runner in the absence of Nick Chubb who probably won’t return until Week 8.

Las Vegas Raiders Need to Patch Up Defensive Holes
The Las Vegas Raiders are conceding 27.0 points per game on average, which makes their defense the 6th-worst in the league. The worst thing is that the most points they conceded this season was in the game against the Carolina Panthers, who are predicted to have a horrible season. Despite being one of the worst teams in the 2024 NFL, the Panthers managed to beat the Raiders 36:22 in Vegas.

Obviously, there’s something wrong with the Raiders defense. Coach Antonio Pierce and defensive coordinator Patrick Graham will have to work with the defensive team to solve this issue. Whether they’re going to patch all the defensive holes by Week 4 remains to be seen.

Meanwhile, their offense has been doing a fine job, although we did see coach Pierce replace starting QB Gardner Minshew in the middle of the game with backup Aidan O’Connell. This was a strange decision given that Minshew was 18-for-28 for 214 yards, one touchdown, and one interception at that point. However, O’Connell also did a fine job, throwing 9-for-12 for 82 yards and one TD, without any interceptions.

Cleveland Browns vs. Las Vegas Raiders Prediction
Our prediction is that this is going to be a very close game. The Browns are struggling offensively, while the Raiders defense has been disappointing. Which will do better this time around? We think it’s going to be the Raiders. Their defense needs to step up, and if their offense keeps playing relatively well, they’re going to get their second win of 2024 this coming Sunday.

Pick: Las Vegas Raiders
