College football preview: 4 draft prospects to watch in Week 11
There are four more college football Saturdays left in the regular season. Let’s enjoy it while we have it. Here are the players I am watching this weekend. All listed times are EST
Jalon Walker, Linebacker, Georgia v. Ole Miss (3:30 PM on ABC): Jalon Walker is one of the more fun defenders to watch in the whole country. He is a chess piece in the Bulldogs defense who can defend the run, cover, and use his speed to rush off the edge. Ole Miss is coming off a dominant offensive performance against Arkansas and Jalon Walker will need to be very disruptive to keep the Rebels down.
Josaiah Stewart, Edge, Michigan v. Indiana (3:30 PM on CBS): The Michigan season has been a wash but they still have some very good players up front. Josaiah Stewart is their best edge rusher and any hope of an upset will hinge on his ability to disrupt Indiana’s passing offense.
Raheim Sanders, Running Back, South Carolina v. Vanderbilt ( 4:15 PM on SECN): Raheim Sanders is having a sneaky good first season in Columbia, South Carolina. He is coming off a 144 rushing yard performance against Texas A&M where he also had 92 receiving yards. He is a unique player with great size, athleticism, and versatility. The South Carolina showdown with Vanderbilt is a battle of the scrappy SEC teams. Both teams have slain giants this season and now will turn on each other. Sanders will be expected to move the ball all three downs, all four quarters for the Gamecocks.
Malachi Moore, Safety, Alabama v. LSU (7:30 PM on ABC): Malachi Moore is probably the best eligible prospect on the Crimson Tide this year, certainly on defense. The fifth year safety is rangy, with the ability to cover the back end and come up against the run. LSU’s offense has a lot of weapons and can really move the ball through the air. Alabama’s playoff hopes ride on Moore holding it down in their secondary.
