College Prospects to Watch
As time goes on, the New Orleans Saints draft position keeps rising to the very top of the 2025 NFL Draft. Currently, they have the third overall pick.
Here are three prospects that Saints fans should watch this weekend.
Will Johnson – Cornerback, Michigan
NFL Draft Buzz Projection: 1st – Late
Cornerback depth has immediately become a concern after the departure of Marshon Lattimore. Much like Lattimore, Johnson is one of the most physician, yet agile cornerbacks in his draft class. The Michigan Wolverines have a massive game against the Indiana Hoosiers this weekend and Johnson will be asked to slow down a juggernaut Indiana offense.
Will Campbell – Offensive Tackle, LSU
NFL Draft Buzz Projection: 1st – Late
Will Campbell, for many reasons, makes a ton of sense for New Orleans if they are still concerned about offensive line depth. The Louisiana native has been exceptional for three straight years for the Tigers. He has not allowed a single sack this season and will need to continue his dominance against a physical Alabama front line.
Cam Ward – Quarterback, Miami
NFL Draft Buzz Projection: 1st – Top 10
This is a very talented quarterback class, and perhaps none is more talented than Miami’s Cam Ward. Ward’s unique ability to throw from different arm angles and improvise under pressure sets him apart, making him highly effective in both scripted and off-script scenarios. If the Saints are ready to make a few more organizational changes, perhaps drafting Ward is the move. His Hurricanes will be Georgia Tech on Saturday.
Tyler Booker – Offensive Guard, Alabama
NFL Draft Buzz Projection: 2nd – Late
The Alabama versus LSU game will be a battle in the trenches, so it makes sense to have an offensive lineman from both teams on this list. The Saints need versatility, health, and strength on the line, and the 6’5, 335-pound Booker could make an immediate impact in both the pass and rush game. He must be rock solid against the LSU Tiger defense on Saturday night.
