Confirmed Newcastle team v Girona – Gordon, Isak, Pope, Hall, Joelinton all start

The Newcastle team v Girona has been confirmed.

A 7.30pm kick-off at St James’ Park

United set for their penultimate pre-season friendly.

Newcastle United have played four friendlies so far. A 3-1 win over SpVgg Unterhaching in a behind-closed-doors match at the Adidas HQ training facility in Germany, a 2-0 victory at Hull then followed, before a trip to Japan brought a 4-1 win over Urawa Red Diamonds and a 2-0 defeat to Yokohama F Marinos.

As usual, Newcastle United are playing a double-header at home a week before the Premier League starts.

With also a 4pm game on Saturday against Brest at St James’ Park.
