Cowboys Reacts Survey: Our final in-season check on fan confidence

One more game. That is all that is left in the Dallas Cowboys’ 2024 regular season. They will host the Washington Commanders at 1 PM ET on Sunday, then turn to the 2025 offseason immediately after.

The biggest question to be answered is the status of head coach Mike McCarthy. He has had a turbulent season with a roster that many felt wasn’t as good as it could be, and then it was riddled with injuries. McCarthy managed a mini-renaissance over a five-game stretch where the team went 4-1 (should have been 5-0), only for those good vibes to get blasted out of the water by a 41-7 thumping from the Philadelphia Eagles.

Jerry Jones is the one who will make the final determination of McCarthy’s future. He will need to decide if he has confidence that McCarthy can take the franchise where we all want it to go, and then act on that one way or the other.
