Crime Boss: Rockay City Adds Free Xbox DLC Following ‘Very Positive’ Recent Reviews
“Thereās a cracking game here now”
Remember Crime Boss: Rockay City? Remember how it got a pretty poor Metacritic average at launch that encouraged plenty of Xbox fans to stay away? Well, it might be time to reevaluate what it brings to the table in 2024.
The game just recently launched on Steam at a bargain price of Ā£15.99 / $15.99, where it currently boasts a “Very Positive” rating based on around 500 reviews. The developer and publisher have also been trying to raise awareness in recent weeks about just how much better Crime Boss: Rockay City has become over the past year.
Ingame Studios: āWeāre so thankful for the ever-growing community of Crime Boss fans and the gamers who have stuck with us. After a year of hard work to improve the game, weāre confident people will see the positive changes weāve made.”
505 Games: “The entire team has listened to every ounce of feedback over the past 12 months, and Crime Boss has transformed itself. The community is growing, the player count is growing, and the gameplayā¦. Well, Iād love you to try it for yourself. It retains the daft 90s vibes, and doesnāt shy away from being itself, but my goodness, thereās a cracking game here now.”
We can’t promise we’ll get around to a re-review here at Pure Xbox, but if you’re interested in trying it, Crime Boss: Rockay City has been discounted to Ā£15.99 / $19.99 on Xbox Series X and S at the time of writing.
There’s also four pieces of DLC that you can grab right now for free. All of these will be claimable for a limited period of time, so even if you don’t own the game yet, it might be worth adding them to your Xbox library for the future.
