Cris Cyborg receives mixed response from fans after making history on the undercard of Francis Ngannou vs Renan Ferreira

Cris Cyborg has further cemented her legacy as one of the all-time greats following her unanimous decision victory over Larissa Pacheco on Saturday.

The 39-year-old has now won titles across five major MMA organizations, beating the likes of Gina Carano and Holly Holm to mention just two of her standout performances.

Her clash with two-weight PFL champion Larissa Pacheco in Saudi Arabia, though, turned out to be one of her tougher tests.

In truth, the MMA legend was compelled to overcome several onslaughts from her fellow Brazilian, suffering cuts over both eyes before claiming the victory on points.

Aside from that, she has provided fans with years of excitement inside the cage, marrying her technical prowess with a remarkable degree of grit.

In last night’s display, Cyborg reminded fans of her incredible kickboxing skills, landing a clean head kick that her opponent was somehow able to absorb in round one.

The contest then became a more competitive affair, with Pacheco showing great resolve to claw her way back into the fight.

But still, with Cyborg emerging victorious, it only seems right for the MMA world to unanimously celebrate her illustrious career.

And yet, even now that she has claimed trinkets in five of the sport’s major promotions, the seasoned veteran remains unsure of which title reign was the most special.

She does, however, recognize the magnitude of her victory in the PFL.

When speaking with MMA Junkie, Cyborg said: “I’m 39 years old. … This is special for me, the PFL championship.”

It would seem that, after all she has achieved, fans will be slow to forget Cyborg’s loss to Nunes back in 2018.
