Crushing Cristiano Ronaldo’s Hopes, Argentina Star Gives Verdict on His Club Future
This season has been a reality check for Luis Castro. Al Hilal, without Neymar, have marched their way to the League title. The trophyless season revealed that the squad needs further reinforcements. Being the influential figure that he is, Cristiano Ronaldo recommended a signing that left the fans drooling. There were high hopes since the star in question was ‘impressed‘ by the quality of the SPL. Unfortunately, his latest comments are sure to dishearten the Al Nassr faithful.
AS Roma star Paulo Dybala was reportedly a signing requested by Cristiano Ronaldo himself. Dybala and CR7 formed a formidable partnership at Juventus from 2018-21. Knowing well the qualities of the Argentine playmaker, CR7 wanted Al Nassr to bring Dybala on board ahead of former teammates Casemiro and Sergio Ramos. Unfortunately, it seems La Joya is not exactly keen on a reunion. He said recently, “It is difficult to see myself outside Italy.”

Dybala’s current contract expires in 2025 and it seems like a reunion or a switch to another Serie A team is on the cards. A disappointment to Cristiano Ronaldo considering how highly Dybala regarded the SPL. La Joya said previously, “The growth of the Arab League in the last two years has been incredible, both in terms of players and clubs, but also in terms of the quality of the game. I watched several matches on TV and I was impressed both by the level of play and from the passion of the fans, with the stadiums always full.”
The Dybala situation means that Al Nassr has to look elsewhere for an attacking signing. This is particularly important as a prominent star could be set to leave the Knights of Najd.

Sadio Mane might be about to leave Cristiano Ronaldo & CoWith 19 goals and 11 assists, Sadio Mane has been a key player for Luis Castro this campaign. His performances also mean that the Senegalese star is a man in demand. One of the clubs interested in Mane is Al Qadsiah FC. Al Qadsiah is set to play in the SPL this season after competing in the Saudi Arabian Division I. In addition, the former Liverpool star also has an opportunity to Europe.

Turkish giants Galatasaray are also keen on adding Mane to the squad. They will be competing in the Champions League next season, an opportunity that Al Nassr can’t provide. Hence, Sadio Mane might be seriously evaluating his future with Cristiano Ronaldo and the team. If the Senegalese superstar indeed leaves, then Al Nassr must have a hard job of finding a suitable replacement.
