In Dandadan Episode 3, titled “It’s a Granny vs. Granny Clash!,” the focus shifts to introducing Seiko Ayase, Momo’s eccentric grandmother.
Seiko steals the spotlight right from the start, proving that despite her bizarre introduction, she’s a powerful spirit medium. The episode opens with Seiko squaring off against the cursed Turbo Granny, who haunts Okarun.

The two grannies engage in an explosive fight, with Seiko emerging victorious and momentarily halting Turbo Granny’s curse. However, this victory doesn’t mean the danger is over for our dynamic duo.
Seiko’s role becomes more significant as she acts as a mentor for Momo and Okarun. Momo and Seiko’s grandmother-granddaughter relationship provides heartwarming moments to which Okarun also contributes.

Seiko’s victory against the Turbo Granny was only temporary, and the vengeful spirit has grown much more powerful, issuing a direct challenge to Momo. We can expect the high schoolers to prepare for a showdown with the notorious old ghost in her haunted tunnel.
Momo must rely on her newly discovered psychic powers to defeat Turbo Granny once and for all. But with Okarun still cursed and the spirit gaining the upper hand, their chances of success are uncertain. We can only wait and watch.

‘Dandadan’ is a Japanese manga series written and illustrated by Yukinobu Tatsu. It has been serialized in Shueisha’s Shōnen Jump+ service since April 2021. An anime television series adaptation produced by Science Saru is set to premiere in 2024.
Momo Ayase is a high school student who believes in ghosts, but her classmate Okarun believes in aliens instead. To determine who is correct, they make a bet and decide to visit locations associated with both the occult and the supernatural separately.
Ayase visits places related to ghosts, while Okarun visits sites about aliens. When they reach their respective areas, they discover they are only half-right. It turns out that both aliens and ghosts exist.
