DDG Explains Why He And Halle Chose To Keep Pregnancy Private
DDG and Halle Bailey recently revealed to the world that they have welcomed their new baby boy, Halo. Throughout the last few months, the pair sparked speculation about the pregnancy as photos and videos of Halle’s bump circulated the internet. Neither artist chose to confirm the news until the very end, and DDG recently explained why they chose to take this route.
The successful YouTuber began by explaining why it was harder for him to keep the journey private than it was for Halle, citing how public-facing his life is online. “It wasn’t that hard. It was harder for me than it was for her for sure because she don’t really be on social media like I do. Social media is what I do. It’s why I’m here today,” he shared.
The “Moonwalking In Calabasas” artist then delved into how they wanted to keep the pregnancy as lowkey as possible in order to minimize outside opinions. “This is one of my biggest accomplishments and I wasn’t able to show it for real for real but it was for a better cause ’cause people weird,” he added. “People are way too many in my business, our business, at this point in time. So, definitely for the better and it made it a lot easier, bringing him into the world without a bunch of opinions.”
The couple announced the newest addition to their family on Sunday (Jan. 7) with a photo showing their three hands. The newborn donned a gold bracelet that read “Halo.”
“Even though we’re a few days into the new year, the greatest thing that 2023 could have done for me, was bring me my son,” The Little Mermaid star wrote. “Welcome to the world my halo the world is desperate to know you.”
