Denver Broncos vs. New Orleans Saints Week 7 Odds, Time, and Prediction

We did really great with our NFL picks last weekend, but one pick that lost was the New Orleans Saints one. We thought they were going to give war to the Tampa Bay Buccaneers, but they ended up losing by 24 points. Can they do (much) better in the TNF game against the Denver Broncos?

Denver Broncos’ Offensive Struggles Continue
The Denver Broncos are 3-3 in the 2024 NFL, and it’s mainly thanks to their good defense. These guys are conceding just 16.0 points on average, which makes them the 4th best defense in the league.

The most points they allowed in a game this season was 26 in Week 1 against the Seattle Seahawks, while in their most recent game, they conceded 23 against the LA Chargers.

Unfortunately for the Broncos, their offensive team hasn’t been as impressive. These guys are averaging just 18.7 points per game, which is among the worst numbers in the league.

Their quarterback Bo Nix has thrown for only five TDs this season, which is a very low number for a starting QB. On the bright side, he scored three rushing TDs as well.

New Orleans Saints Should Do Better Than Last Week
The New Orleans Saints lost 51:27 to the Tampa Bay Buccaneers last weekend, which was their biggest loss since 2021. However, there’s an explanation as to why it happened.

The main reason is that they played without their first-choice QB Derek Carr who picked up an injury just a few days before.

Backup Spencer Rattler had only a few days to prepare for his debut, which is why he didn’t do too well. At least not statistically, as he threw two interceptions and just one TD.

However, if you watched the game, you probably noticed that the 24-year-old made some smart moves in the game, not risking too much overall, but still helping his team collect 27 points. Plus, the TD throw he made was amazing!

While one of the Bucs’ TDs came from a return, it’s the Saints’ defense that disappointed. Although they’re famously very solid, they failed to stop the opposition’s offense. Not only did they concede four passing TDs, but they also conceded two rushing TDs, allowing 277 rushing yards along the way.

Denver Broncos vs. New Orleans Saints Prediction
The New Orleans defense is almost certainly going to do a better job than last week. They do have the ability to up their game, especially against such an unproductive offense as the one Denver has. Plus, we expect Rattler to do much better this time around as he’s now battle-hardened.

As a result, the Saints should be able to finally get a win after losing the last four games.
