Denver vs. Boston University live results, highlights from 2024 Frozen Four hockey semifinals
Tristan Broz played hero for the Denver Pioneers in the Frozen Four.
His overtime goal rocketed off the back of the net with 8:51 remaining to lead No. 3 Denver to a 2-1 win over No. 2 Boston University.
Denver (31-9-3) moves on to its 13th NCAA championship, looking to capture a record 10th national title — the most in history.
The Pioneers started slow, allowing a first period goal to Boston University (28-9-3). Denver’s goaltender Matt Davis kept it at a one-goal deficit throughout the game until Denver tied it in the second period.
Davis finished with 33 saves, while Boston University’s Mathieu Caron made 27 saves.
The Pioneers will play the winner of No. 1 Boston College/Michigan on Saturday, April 13.

8:01 p.m.:Â It’s hit the 10-minute mark in overtime, still tied 1-1.
7:55 p.m.:Â Timeout on the ice with 12:45 remaining in overtime. Both Caron and Davis have made multiple saves to keep their teams alive.
7:51 p.m.:Â The 4-on-4 play is done, and both teams are back at full strength.
7:50 p.m.:Â Lane Hutson dribbles between multiple Denver defenders, but Davis saves the shot off his left pad.
7:48 p.m.:Â Both teams go to 4-on-4 after a scuffle after the play.
7:43 p.m.:Â BU kills the penalty and is at even strength in overtime.

7:04 p.m.:Â BU picks up its third penalty for tripping. Play has been faster lately, but also lots of bodies hitting the ice.
6:58 p.m.: Celebrini gets a wrist shot on goal and redirects a shot moments later — both of which are saved by Davis.
6:57 p.m.:Â BU survives the power play, but not before a massive scrum in front of net nearly gave Denver the lead.
6:54 p.m.:Â Second penalty of the day, once again by the Terriers. Denver will be up 5-on-4 due to a tripping call.

6:33 p.m.:Â What a save! Caron scoops the puck up on a diving play to keep the score tied 1-1 with under 30 seconds to go in the period.
