Devils: Start your Player Trading Cards collection!

Monday 29 July 2024 16:19

Manchester United’s brand-new series of digital collectibles for 2024/25 is here, and if you are a Devil owner, you now have exclusive access to begin building your collection!

And, let us tell you, this is no ordinary release. Our latest batch will combine the excitement of collecting trading cards with the competitive thrill of fantasy football.

The official Player Trading Cards feature every member of Erik ten Hag’s squad in three different rarities – Classic, Rare and Ultra-Rare – and once you’ve added them to your collection, they will be eligible to help you score points and defeat your friends in our Fantasy United game, coming soon.

So, if you own one of 7,777 Devils – our original digital collection of unique characters, which launched in 2022 – you can now take your love for United to the next level ahead of the upcoming campaign.

All players will be available to pack in three different rarities.

From today, the hand-drawn Player Trading Cards are available to purchase in packs of seven that will cost £3 and feature player-specific stats that update dynamically as the season goes on.

Inspired by our adidas apparel for the upcoming term, each card will have a unique look depending on its rarity – Classics will be predominantly red with players drawn in the 2024/25 home kit, Rares will be blue in the main as players don our new away strip, while Ultra-Rares will see a golden trim complement drawings of the Reds in our training wear, sponsored by Tezos.

And, while completing your collection will enter you into a prize draw to win exclusive prizes, you can also use your new cards in the newly launched United-specific fantasy football game. Fans will select five players from your collection in a Fantasy United squad before each men’s first-team match – across all competitions – with your squad scoring points based on your selected Reds’ on-pitch actions – including goals, assists, tackles, saves and many more.

Fantasy United will officially be playable for the first time later this week, ahead of our opening Premier League match against Fulham on 16 August and, in the meantime, Devil holders can now begin to assemble a collection of Reds in pursuit of glory!

FANTASY UNITED: ARSENAL RESULTS

While our players are currently staking their claims to be part of Erik ten Hag’s first starting XI of the new Premier League season, you may also be wondering who you can count on for points when it comes to selecting your inaugural five-man line-up in Fantasy United.

So, we have been taking a look at who would have been United’s top scorers in our pre-season matches, and the results are now in from the weekend’s narrow 2-1 defeat to Arsenal in Los Angeles.

Rasmus Hojlund bagged the most points (seven), despite being forced off the pitch with injury shortly after his 10th-minute opener at SoFi Stadium. Marcus Rashford, who set up Hojlund, ranked second with five points while Mason Mount was the only other Red to score more than two, netting four for his efforts, as Ten Hag again changed his entire outfield line-up at half-time.

Fantasy football content creator Ross Dowsett, perhaps better known as FPL Raptor, racked up 29 points for the team he assembled pre-match – which featured triple the returns for Rashford as his Ultra-Rare selection (15), double for Mount as his Rare choice (eight) and two each from his trio of Classic picks: Amad, Casemiro and Leny Yoro.
