Following a Homeland Security raid on two homes tied to Diddy (real name Sean Combs), the artist’s attorney has responded to the “gross overuse of military-level force” with a statement. Attorney Aaron Dyer just recently penned a lengthy “statement on behalf of Sean Combs,” whose Miami and Los Angeles residences were reportedly the subject of a search warrant issued in connection with a sex trafficking investigation.

Local media captured photos and footage of the seemingly all-hands-on-deck raids, during which authorities reportedly seized phones and computers belonging to the 54-year-old rapper. Diddy has faced (and is facing) sexual abuse and sex trafficking allegations in multiple civil lawsuits.

And per Rolling Stone, five individuals have been interviewed in New York as part of a sex trafficking and RICO criminal investigation. Moreover, the precise location of Diddy (and his private jet) was a subject of speculation immediately following the raids. Per the previously noted attorney, Combs, who was seen outside a Miami airport’s customs office, “spoke to and cooperated with authorities.”

Now, on the heels of this uncertainty, Dyer has attempted to set the record straight with an approximately 150-word statement, emphasizing therein that Diddy hasn’t been arrested or ordered not to travel.“Yesterday, there was a gross overuse of military-level force as search warrants were executed at Mr. Combs’ residences. There is no excuse for the excessive show of force and hostility exhibited by authorities or the way his children and employees were treated.

“Mr. Combs was never detained but spoke to and cooperated with authorities. Despite media speculation, neither Mr. Combs nor any of his family members have been arrested nor has their ability to travel been restricted in any way.

“This unprecedented ambush – paired with an advanced, coordinated media presence – leads to a premature rush to judgement of Mr. Combs and is nothing more than a witch hunt based on meritless accusations made in civil lawsuits.

“There has been no finding of criminal or civil liability with any of these allegations. Mr. Combs is innocent and will continue to fight every single day to clear his name,” he concluded.

Needless to say, it’ll be worth closely monitoring the multifaceted situation – including the aforementioned civil actions and the apparent criminal probe – moving forward. At the points’ intersection, it should be mentioned in conclusion that one Brendan Paul was reportedly arrested on drug charges post-raids while attempting to board Diddy’s private jet.

As it stands, these charges don’t appear to be directly connected to the No Way Out creator. But in an abuse and RICO civil suit levied by a former Diddy producer, Paul is described as a “mule” responsible for acquiring and distributing drugs as well as firearms on the artist’s behalf.
