The male producer who sued Sean âDiddyâ Combs for sexual assault and harassment has added actor Cuba Gooding, Jr. to the list of defendants.Music producer Rodney âLil Rodâ Jones, who sued Sean âDiddyâ Combs for sexual assault and harassment in February, has amended his lawsuit to include actor Cuba Gooding Jr. as a defendant. Gooding was previously named in the lawsuit, but was not counted among the list of defendants.
Jones initially filed his lawsuit on February 26, claiming that Gooding was among those who sexually harassed and assaulted him on Combsâ yacht. The allegations against Gooding havenât been amended within the complaint, but as of March 25 â the same day two of Combsâ properties were raided by Homeland Security amid an ongoing sex trafficking investigation â Gooding is now named as a defendant.
A producer on Combsâ latest album, Jones alleges that Combs and several associates engaged in illicit activity, including procuring and taking drugs, and soliciting sex workers, some of whom were underage. Jonesâ lawsuit accuses Combs of âgrooming him to pass off to his friends,â one of whom was allegedly Gooding, who is said to have sexually harassed and assaulted him.
The amended lawsuit lists Gooding as a co-defendant alongside Combs, Combsâ adult son Justin, their Love Records imprint, Motown Records, and Universal Music Group.
After federal agents raided Combsâ properties in Miami and Los Angeles, details have emerged from sources close to the matter, including that firearms were found at both properties, and Homeland Security Investigations seized Combsâ phones in Miami before he departed for a trip to the Caribbean.Details remain relatively sparse, but reports claim the raid was connected to the allegations of sex trafficking and sexual assault, as well as the solicitation and distribution of illegal firearms and narcotics, which have emerged in the several lawsuits filed against Combs in recent months. Three women and one man have been interviewed by federal agents in Manhattan in connection to the investigation, and several people were questioned outside Combsâ properties, including two of his adult sons.
A representative for Homeland Security Investigations told media outlets that they had âexecuted law enforcement actions as part of an ongoing investigation,â and would âprovide further information as it becomes available.â
Attorneys for Combs have called the raids on his properties âa gross overuse of military-level force,â and there was âno excuse for the excessive show of force and hostility,â continuing to brand the investigation as a âwitch hunt.â
