Didier Deschamps on why Kylian Mbappe was left out of France squad again

In a surprising twist, Kylian Mbappe will not feature in France’s squad for their upcoming UEFA Nations League matches against Italy and Israel.

This marks the second time the French captain has been left out, following his absence from the October games.

National team coach Didier Deschamps confirmed the decision, revealing he had private discussions with Mbappe before reaching his final call.

The news is even more unexpected as Mbappe himself expressed a desire to join his teammates for these games.

Deschamps, however, clarified that the decision wasn’t due to any internal issues. “I had discussions with Kylian and made my decision. It’s better this way
” he explained, adding that Mbappe was eager to play.
