It was previously unclear when the popular British heavyweight would return.
But he has now indicated he will be back on the undercard of his charge’s big night, in what will likely be a tick-over event.
He announced at the launch press conference: “Obviously I was getting ready for April 5 but a gym accident forced me to pull out.

“I was thinking about it last night when I got offered the fight, for a lot of my big nights, Fabio was supporting me but it’s funny how life works, now I’m on the undercard.
“I’m looking for as big fight in the summer which we are talking about.
“I could sit around and wait for the big fight but I’m not at that stage of my career, I want to be active. So let’s go, let’s get it on.”
The Ring has reported that Hemi Ahio is in pole position to accept the call-out, a 24-1 Australian heavyweight.
Whyte hasn’t fought since his stoppage of rugged Ebenezer Tetteh last December.

And these are two options that the Brixton native is considering for a bigger summer outing if he tastes victory next month.
He continued: “I just want to fight the best guys I can fight.
“Obviously the AJ fight is always there, we have needle and it’s a lifelong thing.
“I enjoy fighting the guy to be honest and I’m sure he enjoys fighting me.
