Of course, one would ask that. WHY on EARTH would a DC movie not feature a post-credits scene? With all the potential plots that Arthur Fleck might be involved in (later and retrospectively), this seems like a missed opportunity. Or does it?
Well, to understand this dilemma, we must go down the memory lane all the way to 2019. Even the Joker movie from ’19 skipped out on the tradition of having a post-credits scene.
Similarly, Director Phillips seems to have relied on his keen artistic vision to have taken this decision as well, allowing the story to stand on its own, like a mighty big mountain. It was a bold decision then, and it isn’t any less bold now.
He has openly stated that, at present, there are no plans for a third Joker movie. And given this knowledge, a post-credits scene to Folie À Deux doesn’t really make sense (although it is always truly exciting to have one). And that’s the beauty of Folie À Deux – no loose ends, no teases, and no promises. A good ol’ story with a climactic ending.
Is Joker: Folie À Deux a Psych-Thriller-Musical?
Folie À Deux has taken quite a unique turn this time, by creating a creative twist no one could have possibly guessed. In a manner of saying, it’s a musical. With Lady Gaga stepping into the shoes of Harley Quinn, this addition to the Joker universe is a marvelous feast for both the eyes and ears.
The music direction of this movie is sure to sweep you right off your feet, and the credits come off as a wonderful opportunity to appreciate the impeccable musical assortment of the movie.
So, although you’d struggle to find a post-credits scene, you’d surely find one of the most iconic and incredible compositions that reflect the complex emotional core of the movie.
And of course, the haunting tunes that follow the finale of the movie add to the lasting effect that it has on the minds of the viewers – even after you leave the theater, and even when you’re driving back home.
