Donald Trump, Not at All Worried About Losing the Election, Demands Kamala Harris Be “Forced Off the Campaign”

Once upon a time, Donald Trump thought he had the 2024 election in the bag, and that he was going to cruise to victory against Joe Biden. And, as the polls indicated circa July, he was probably right! Then Kamala Harris replaced the president on the Democratic ticket, and now the outcome of the election is anyone’s guess—and that’s clearly freaking out the Republican nominee, as evidenced by his most recent rant demanding that Harris be kicked out of the race and replaced by Biden with 18 days to go.

On Truth Social on Thursday, Trump declared: “Kamala should be investigated and forced off the Campaign, and Joe Biden allowed to take back his rightful place (He got 14 Million Primary Votes, she got none!). THIS WHOLE SORDID AND FRAUDULENT EVENT IS A THREAT TO DEMOCRACY!” If you’re wondering what, exactly, he wants Harris investigated over, it appears to have something to do with her interview on 60 Minutes—but, as usual with Trump, one never knows.

This is also far from the first time he’s said Harris—who he knows actually has a shot at beating him—should be removed from the race. In August, he boldly and insanely claimed the vice president should be “disqualified” because of a made-up story about her faking her crowd sizes using AI. That never actually happened, but it didn’t stop Trump from telling his followers, “Look, we caught her with a fake ’crowd.’ There was nobody there!” and “EVERYTHING ABOUT KAMALA IS FAKE!”

Trump has also claimed that the Democrats “stole” the campaign from Biden, and he’s weirdly fantasized about the president returning to the race. And, to be fair, you can see why he would want, nay, be desperate for that to happen! In related news, Politico reported on Friday that an interview Trump had been in talks to do had not materialized because he was “exhausted.” (Naturally, Trump’s national press secretary refuted that claim, calling it “unequivocally false.”)
