Donald Trump Reportedly Calls Elon Musk ‘Weird’ And ‘Boring’

Elon Musk, a man who once had earnest goals to make the world a better place by making electric cars a viable, mass-market prospect, is increasingly vocal in his support of notable climate change denialist Donald Trumpā€™s current presidential bid.

Publicly, the E92 BMW M3 GTS-coloured former president and convicted felon has expressed mutual feelings towards the Tesla and SpaceX CEO and boss of the smouldering wasteland that was once Twitter. Recently, heā€™s gone as far as saying he has ā€œno choiceā€ but to like electric cars because Musk is such a vocal backer and financial supporter of his campaign, despite previously launching scathing attacks on them. Principles, eh?

Trump has even suggested that Musk could be given an advisory role within the government if heā€™s re-elected this November, but it seems that, behind the public facade heā€™s not as fond of the many-times-billionaire as he makes out.

Rolling Stone cites a source close to Trump, who reportedly ā€œthinks [Musk is] weird,ā€ and has said as much as recently as July. He supposedly also considers Musk to be ā€œboringā€ and prone to mood swings.

Despite their now surface-level alliance, the pair of social media enthusiasts have a history of not being the biggest fans of one another, with Trump posting in 2022 on his own personal social media disaster, Truth Social, that ā€œWhen Elon Musk came to the White House asking me for help on all his many subsidized projects…. I could have said, ā€˜drop to your knees and beg,ā€™ and he would have done it.ā€ He’s also previously called Musk a “bulls*** artist.”

For what itā€™s worth, Steven Cheung, a Trump campaign spokesperson, simply had this to say: ā€œ[Trump and Musk] agree on the big issues facing our country, and that [Democratic candidate] Kamala Harris must be stopped before she completely destroys America.ā€

Sigh. Remember when Elon Musk was just a guy who just wanted to make EVs more viable, and Donald Trump was just the American Alan Sugar?
