Donald Trump tells crowd about golf legend’s manhood – days after Rory McIlroy got dragged into US Presidential race

Donald Trump is never short of a grimace-inducing anecdote, but his latest regarding a golf icon might be up there as one of his worst.

The former United States President, who is running for a second term, spoke at a rally in Latrobe, Pennslvania.

Palmer, regarded as one of the greatest and most influential players of all time, won the Masters on four occasions and even had a beverage attributed to him, which consists of iced tea and lemonade.

His final appearance at Augusta was in 2004 and he later passed away in 2016 while waiting to undergo heart surgery.

It turns out Trump, a keen golfer himself, is also a big fan of Palmer.

Speaking at his rally, Trump revealed he’d previously held court with Palmer and lavished praise on the legend’s career in a 12-minute anecdote.

“There were a few golfers that you could say may be slightly better, a few, not many,” Trump said.

“But there was nobody that had his magic.”

However, Trump’s speech quickly took a rogue turn.

The 78-year-old decided to move on from reminiscing about Palmer’s career and turned to some rather private information about the golf great.

“He took showers with the other pros, they came out of there, they said, ‘Oh my God, that’s unbelievable.’

“I had to say it. I had to tell you the shower part because it’s true.”

Trump’s bizarre remark about Palmer’s manhood wasn’t the only strange element of his rally in Latrobe as former NFL star Antonio Brown showed up to give a speech.

Brown, who won the Super Bowl with the Tampa Bay Buccaneers in 2021, was captured awkwardly cuddling Trump off-stage.

Surprisingly Palmer is not the only iconic golf figure to have caught a stray remark in the lead-up to the American election.

Rory McIlroy became an unlikely source of ridicule thanks to Reince Priebus, who was a former White House Chief of Staff under Trump.

Priebus took aim at Kamala Harris’ appearance on The View and said: “She wanted to clarify the two most important issues that are facing these two candidates – the US economy and immigration.

McIlroy held a two-stroke lead with only five holes remaining, but he carded three bogeys on the final stretch and opened the door for Bryson DeChambeau to steal the victory.
