Victor Osimhen has been linked with Liverpool and Manchester United in recent months, but he is now a few steps away form joining another club
Super Eagles striker Victor Osimhen is set to join Galatasaray, as the club have agreed on terms with with Napoli for the transfer, Soccernet.ng reports.
Osimhen’s future has been in the balance for the last two years, as he has been linked with multiple clubs across Europe.
However, last week, he decided to join Galatasaray permanently, extending his stay after the club after his season-long loan transfer.

But Napoli have proven to be a difficult nut to crack, as the club want to gain as much as possible from the sale of their most-prized asset.
Galatasaray put in multiple bids until they reached Napoli’s set release clause of €75 million. Since then, both clubs have been hammering out the details of the transfer.
Now, according to Buchi Laba, all the parties have now reached a compromise. Osimhen is due for a medical, after which he will officially become a Galatasaray player.

This automatically puts an end to speculations linking Osimhen with a transfer to the Saudi Arabian Pro League or Premier League clubs like Manchester United and Liverpool.

Napoli set a release clause of €75 million for Victor Osimhen, and they stuck to it. So, Galatasaray will pay the Partenopeans €75 million, €40 million of which will be this summer before completing the remaining €35 million next year.

According to Buchi Laba, there is a 10% sell-off clause was included in the contract. This means that Napoli will get 10% of the fee whenever or if they sell Osimhen in future.
There were also talks that Napoli wanted to add a clause that will prevent a sale to another Italian club for the next two years, but that is not confirmed yet.
For sure though, Osimhen will become the highest-paid player in Galatasaray, as he will be paid €18 million per year.
Once the transfer is concluded, more details will be revealed.
