Dragon Ball: Sparking! Zero Tops 200 Characters, Teases Yet More DLC in 2026
It’s over 200!
To no one’s surprise, Bandai Namco will continue supporting Dragon Ball: Sparking! Zero into 2026, with the game’s new trailer teasing an announcement for January.
Believe it or not, the bombastic brawler’s been out for close to an entire year at this point, having initially launched for PS5 on the 11th October, 2024.
In that time, it’s received three DLC packs, each boasting a clutch of new playable characters. All of them are part of an overarching Season Pass, so we’re guessing that a Season Pass 2 is on the cards.
Some fans have argued that Sparking! Zero’s DLC and update schedule has actually been a bit lightweight given how many sales the title has racked up over the last 12 months. Indeed, it took Bandai Namco way too long to fix some of the game’s balancing and network issues.
Still, the roster now sits at a frankly ridiculous 208 fighters — and it’s apparently only going to get bigger.

He still takes his fighting games seriously, but RPGs are his true passion. The Witcher, Persona, Dragon Quest, Mass Effect, Final Fantasy, Trails, Tales — he’s played ’em all. A little too much, some might say.
