‘Dudes got the best agent’ – NFL stuns fans by turning to viral Olympics star to host Super Bowl show with MVP award

The NFL is going big for its upcoming awards show.

So big that a 2024 Summer Olympics star from Paris will soon take over New Orleans for the Super Bowl.

Snoop Dogg will host the NFL Honors show on Thursday, February 6 at the Saenger Theater in New Orleans.

The primetime awards special recognizes the NFL’s best players, performances and plays from the 2024 season.

Most Valuable Player, Offensive and Defensive Rookie of the Years, Offensive and Defensive Players of the Year and Comeback Player of the Year are among the honors.

The NFL Honors debuted in 2012 and includes the newest Pro Football Hall of Fame class, the week leading up to the Super Bowl.

Super Bowl LIX will be played Sunday, Feb. 9 at the Superdome.

The Kansas City Chiefs, Detroit Lions, Buffalo Bills and Philadelphia Eagles are among the playoff favorites to win the big game.

While some fans are tired of seeing Snoop everywhere, others loved seeing the NFL go all-in with the D-O-double-G.

“Feels like Snoop Dogg has been on my TV for every single major event lately,” one fan tweeted.

“Can’t wait to see Snoop host!” a third fan wrote. “It’s gonna be a blast. Looking forward to some great moments and maybe a few surprises. Thanks for the heads up!”

The rap legend, whose real name is Calvin Cordozar Broadus Jr., reportedly made up to $15 million to be around the 2024 Olympics.

While Dogg cheered on Simone Biles and fell in love with a ‘crip-walking’ horse, NBC claimed 35.4 million viewers watched a single day of coverage.

The NFL, which will turn the Super Bowl Halftime show over to Kendrick Lamar, is clearly hoping to reap the benefits of having Dogg on its New Orleans roster.

“I did not see that coming,” one fan commented. “Snoop on a roll this year! He does love football so this should be fun!”

“I’m still wondering how Snoop Dogg became so relevant over the last couple years after decades of nothing,” a second fan wrote. “Great for him, but just wondering how this happened…?”

“Dudes got the best agent, you cant escape Snoop at this point,” a third fan tweeted.

The American rapper is renowned for his big hits such as “What’s My Name?” and “Gin and Juice.”

Several celebrities were seen at the Olympic Games this summer in Paris, including Tom Cruise, Ariana Grande, John Legend, Anna Wintour and Larry Fitzgerald.
