The Dune: Prophecy TV show has its debut trailer, teasing the events leading to the founding of the Bene Gesserit.
Dune: Prophecy, set 10,000 years before the ascension of Paul Atreides, is a six-episode season that debuts on Max this fall, Warner Bros. Discovery announced. It tells the origin story of the Bene Gesserit, the mysterious sisterhood who pull the galactic strings from the shadows in Frank Herbert’s influential sci-fi series.

From the expansive universe of Dune, created by acclaimed author Frank Herbert, and 10,000 years before the ascension of Paul Atreides, Dune: Prophecy follows two Harkonnen sisters as they combat forces that threaten the future of humankind and establish the fabled sect that will become known as the Bene Gesserit. Dune: Prophecy is inspired by the novel âSisterhood of Dune,â written by Brian Herbert and Kevin J. Anderson.The cast includes Emily Watson, Olivia Williams, Travis Fimmel, Jodhi May, Mark Strong, Sarah-Sofie Boussnina, Josh Heuston, Chloe Lea, Jade Anouka, Faoileann Cunningham, Edward Davis, Aoife Hinds, Chris Mason, Shalom Brune-Franklin, Jihae, Tabu, Charithra Chandran, Jessica Barden, Emma Canning, and Yerin Ha.

Author Brian Herbert is on-board as executive producer, along with Byron Merritt and Kim Herbert as executive producers for the Frank Herbert estate. Author Kevin J. Anderson serves as co-producer.
The release of Dune: Prophecy follows Denis Villeneuveâs two Dune movies, the most recent of which, Dune Part 2, released to enormous success earlier this year. Villeneuve is working on Dune Part 3 to close out Paul Atreidesâ story. Dune: Part 2 makes its streaming debut on Max on Tuesday, May 21.
