EA FC 25 RTTK upgrade tracker: How it works and dates explained for Champions League Road to the Knockouts Team 1 and 2

EA FC 25’s Road to the Knockouts campaign has launched alongside the game’s worldwide release as teams look to progress in Europe.

RTTK has become a fan-favourite promo in recent editions, and this year’s event is bigger than ever following UEFA’s revamped format.

The upgradeable cards are still for players whose teams are competing in the UEFA Champions League (UCL), UEFA Women’s Champions League (UWCL), UEFA Europa League (UEL), and UEFA Europa Conference League (UECL).

However, with some of those tournaments changing their qualification process, the RTTK process has undergone a change of its own.

First introduced in FIFA 22, this year’s edition has to abandon their previous upgrade system due to the new UEFA format.

RTTK cards can still earn a maximum of two overall boosts to their stats but additional playstyles are on offer for high-flying teams.

Champions League and Europa League cards will follow the same upgrade path, with a slight variation for the Conference League and Women’s Champions League.

FC25 RTTK: When do the upgrades go live?Once the wins and goals requirement has been completed, the upgrades ‘will go live in-game on the Friday after each match week’.

It is important to note that European games held before the promo’s Team 1 release DO count towards both of those upgrades.

However, the finish bonus won’t be included until the group stages end in January 2025.

The actual RTTK players themselves do not need to feature in the games for their club for them to count towards the upgrade.
